These are good points all,
by Demcon

John Dickerson, regarding the changes that Obama needs to make and the fact that it's no longer the Clintons' job to sell Obama; that it is finally Obama's and Biden's job exclisively to convince Joe Sixpack and Josephina Average to vote for him. Yeah, and it's what? Day FOUR of the convention? Maybe it's about time that he got started on that.

The Obama team needed to change the nature of this convention from obsessing about the Clintons to talking about Barack Obama. It's day four and STILL nobody knows a damn thing about Barack Obama and that was officially the major convention goal.

What did we hear going into this convention? "Barack has got to introduce himself to the American people and give them a sense not only of what he wants to do but how he intends to do it and just who he really is." Well, psssssst . . . it's day four people and nobody knows anything more about these vital issues this morning than they knew four days ago.

Obama [and more significantly his team of advisors] had better briskly pull up some socks and get busy utilizing the prescious hours and minutes remaining before McCain kills the convention buzz by announcing HIS VP selection on Friday [as he is currently being projected as intending to do] and the entire nation promptly forgets about the Democratic Convention.

Yeah, sure, because Obama is all image and vague platitudes about meaningless 'Hope and Change' it was necessary for BOTH Clintons to actually prop him up and put his crippled candidacy on political life support for two nights running, but they have more than fullfilled their promisses of being surrogate brains and spirits for Obama and now the new-age political messiah has got to prove once and for all that there is some meaningful iota of real substance behind that beautiful smile, gorgeous orator's voice, and facial ability to speak convincingly about nothing much at all.

You see the easy sells have already been brought on board and the angry Clinton supporters that CAN be readily swayed by the 'do it for your party' guilt trip garbage have already reluctantly agreed to vote for the clown prince, but Barack Obama hasn't made a dent in the reluctance of working class democrats that don't give a horse apple for emotion-based political platitudes of meaningless Hope and Change. They are struggling with real issues and real fears and real worries in the REAL WORLD that Obama has never lived in and, evidently, doesn't even begin to comprehend.

He had BETTER pull his head out of the rarified Ivy League clouds and discover how to talk to these people directly because they are not voting for good ol' Joe Biden for president, they are considering Barack Obama, and to this hour he has shown them nothing.

So the Clinton's have officially passed the leadership mantel over to Barack Obama and may God help the Democrats, because so far he has demonstrated only that he doesn't really have a bloody damn clue.

Well if you can say the exact same thing tomorrow you'll have a point.

By the way, working class democrats love the emotion-based platitudes as much as anyone else.
