Ah! It's Good To See The FrayGOPervs Feeling Crushed.
by RasputinsLiver

After what they did to us in enabling BushCo to steal two national elections, lie us into a disastrous war that has cost us our international reputation, international respect, international standing as THE world leader; not to mention our own internal self-respect, wasting our national treasury (ten fucking billion dollars a MONTH on this disaster?!?), genuine acts of undermining the Constitution and Bill of Rights, wasting over four thousand of our brave troops' lives and costing tens of thousands more their healthy bodies and minds.

Seeing extremist hardcore GOPerv whackjobs like Lapcat post stuff like this says it all. No wonder stewie/swiet hasn't been around for a long time, given she must be feeling the same and was as much an extremist GOPerv whackjob apologist and enabler as Lappy is.

Hey, they deserve it in earthmover loads.

It's a helluva situation....

that I, quite frankly, never thought we'd be stuck in.

Apparently, finding real conservative leadership, ie, someone with balls, integrity, strength, character, vision and intelligence...

is an impossible pipe frickin dream.

The only thing I can conclude is....

maybe it is meant to be this way.

[sigh]

I think we're all caring Americans and I think Lapcat's view shows honesty that is moving. I think Lapcat represents the quandary many feel. I always listen to what those who oppose my view because it is a better glimpse of the situation as it exists. I trust Lapcat.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll get a lot of PISSED Fraycons when McCain picks his Veep.

He HAS to pick somebody "exciting"...and the qualifiers for that, are all things the Hard Right...won't like. I don't think he's stupid enough to pick somebody that ONLY the 28% Club (who still support Bush) will endorse too much.

LOL, crushed.....

not even close....McCain is not going with Rice.....GOP is still strong and obama still can't launch....

what is there to be crushed over?

Oh now, Mary, don't go gettin' all defensive regarding your friend. I was commenting on the sentiments behind it and the fact even hardcore extremists like her and other cons across the nation are finally admitting the realities of their party and what it's done via BushCo that has lead this nation to a very real point of descending into heavy duty bad straits.

Hers and others realization is way too little, way too late, though. They should have made Dubya and Cheney one termers an then one could have at least some modicum of respect for them.

At this late date, those of us not of the conned crowd have legitimate right to say, "good to see you conned feeling bummed. Look what you've done to our nation!"

Serious question, Abused....who would YOU like to see McCain pick?

(I ask, cuz I'm betting it's nobody CLOSE to who you'd want)

indeed--- it's almost like they've found their consciences

and are looking for any excuse to jump off the warmongering, torturing bandwagon.

Since when was a VP pick a deal breaker in and of itself, if you believe in the pres candidate and the party platform he/she is running on?

There is only one pick I don't want McCain to make and that is Huckabee. I could be wrong but I think given the face time Huckabee could work as a link for the right and make some dents in the middle right. The rest of them who have been mentioned are pretty much unremarkable to anyone but those already voting for McCain. I've seen Huckabee work the crowd and the camera.

Who is there that would seem "exciting" outside the hardcore extremist nutwing of the GOPervs?

No one.

Not even Powell, given his complicity in the run-up to the Iraq disaster (even though he was against the war the fact he never came out publicly to denounce it makes him nonetheless an enabler and responsible) could be sen as a trustworthy, credible case maker for McCain and more of the same.

I just don't see anyone, not even Hagel, who could at this time make a good case for Americans to buy the vain attempts to repackage the BushCo GOPerv product as a Mcain "Maverick" product.

Particularly when THIS IMAGE hits one's view

I am far from "crushed..."

As far as McCain's VP pick, all of my choices are the least palatable politically.....

--Rudi Gulliani

--Condi Rice

--St. Joe Lieberman

But, alas, not all happens according to MY wishes, or else I would be President. Hey, Rasputin, you want a VP slot?

The vast majority of Americans are also tired of the extremist evangewhackjob stuff and McCain choosing Huckabee would bring the stuff back to the fore and Americans want to move beyond the extremism of both the neo-con policies and the extremism of hardcore evangelical social policies.

We're a nation that does fluctuate, true, But only because we're trying to get both parties to come to the middle where most Americans are.

I think it should be Hutchison

I appreciate your vain attempt at putting up a brave front. I give you points for trying in the face of your party's ruin.

Rudi would be a good pick
by Abused

Joe Lieberman has already told McCain no thank you and he won't go with Rice or any of Bush's people.....

Hutchison would be great too....

Given that McCain isn't even the guy the majority of repubs want as their nominee, thn add on another one, one almost, ALMOST, feels sorry for your side.

As for me, man, no way. I couldn't even get past the first round of vetting (who of us could?). But I'll take the lifelong monies and medical they get afterward.
