Dahlia
by didi
I've just discovered Dahlia Lithwick--or rather I've read enough of her blogs to associate a name to a style--and I just want to say, appropos of no particular issue discussed, that she's a great writer: punchy, succinct, original, memorable. I'd like to hear more from her.

Hope she gets this message....

Dahlia also does regular columns on legal issues, including coverage of the Supreme Court oral arguments, as well as some other stuff. Quite frankly, xx factor isn't her best writing, but fortunately she writes a lot of other materials. I agree--she's got a great writing style.

I totally agree Kit-Kat. One of the things I hate about XX-factor is it seems to cut down on Dahlia's other entries.
Plus our dear Dahlia Darling

is a rabid Hillary Clinton hater -- having vigorously used her XX-Factor Blog to campaign for Obama during the nomination process -- and that's a huge plus for all Obamacrats. What's NOT to love?

(Wow, way to try to completely derail a thread, Demcon. Aren't there 13 billion other threads you have to go post the same thing over and over on?)

Dahlia's columns always slack off during the summer, since the Court isn't in session. She should be back this fall, with her usual great legal analysis and humor.

I am familiar with Dahlia's other writing and agree that her XX work is less than auspicious. The articles I have read lately seem facile and unresearched.

Damn! And I was just going to say your posts are facile and unresearched.

wrote about the Hillary Harridan? After Tuesday's speech, some harridan! Sorry Dehlia, you're the pooch barking in the back of the caravan.

There is an option here. Don't read Dahlia's writing. Sen. Clinton is polarizing. Her speech Tuesday was superb but she did hold out until the last possible moment to be specific with her supporters. She neither a harridan or the Madonna. Just a woman.

Facile and unresearched compared to her supreme court commentary, which is excellent and I had always enjoyed and admired. Her foray into pop psychology with regards to electioneering has been just just a descrition of her colon, because her head is up her ass.

Full of sound and fury...signifying nothing. The bard must have had your posts in mind.
