And that half-wit Dickerson saw a hole? Because she didn't conjure up reasons why Barry's less-than-one-term-in-the-Sena­te-resume wasn't a bit light in the loafers? Or why the only reason he won his one and only federal election was because his opponent got caught in a sex scandal and withdrew? Or why state senate service is not really good training to lead the free world?

As far as Dickerson, he has this weird thing where any deviation from his notion of what a politician means or should mean is a failure. He started a piece about Obama "If Obama is any kind of..." and keeps trying to define "new politics" as meaning only some kind of boy scout politics.

I have always gotten the impression that Dickerson is so hellbent on appearing to be "balanced" that he can't actually form a coherent opinion on anything.

Maybe he's hoping that this "fair & balanced" approach to objectivity will land him a plum job at Fox News.

Yes, to answer a poster's question that's what I think my ilk are doing. Gruntled is a good term, meaning "to cause to be more favorably inclined". Not quite in the giddy with joy crowd of course, and if they fuck with the Big Dog's time tonight, we'll revert. We're like 12 step types, trodding a very unfamiliar path. One slip and we're gone.
