I thought it was a great speech
by Beaujoe

and I have no love lost for Hillary Clinton.

The one thing I thought it was missing was an apology, but if she had done that the speech might seem forced to her supporters.

I'm pretty convinced that the majority of Hillary supporters are with her now. Maybe a few real supporters had been taken in by the GOP frauds that are PUMA (turns out their founder never donated to HIllary, but did donate to...(drum roll)... McCain in 2000)

Yes an apology would have been nice, but I don't know if it would have worked right in context.

Overall great speech.

i thought the speech was great

one doesnt HAVE to apologize for what one says in the primary

its a race

if you guys are too sensitive

you might want to give up politics

btw, has obama apologized for his "hillary is annie oakley" routine? no , cause it was part of the campaign

get over it

It was an incredibly gracious speech, I thought. And what does she have to apologize for?

If anything, Obama has taken her critiques to heart in his selection of Biden - a guy who voted for the war and has been in Washington longer than almost anyone alive. In short, Biden will reassure voters that there's some foreign policy experience on the ticket.

Also, I'm tired of people blaming Hillary for Republican attacking Obama's *obvious* weak points - and *every* candidate has weak points. The fact that Obama is young with no executive, military or diplomatic experience to speak of - Republicans would have to be deaf, blind & stupid not to notice it. Heck, even Dubya had more executive experience as a Presidential candidate (albeit, running baseball teams and Texas into the ground, haha).

An apology! An apology!!! Yes, fall to the stage floor weeping, begging for the chance to kiss the sandled foot of the One. How could she have screwed that up? Da bitch!

Damn! Get over it? Isn't that a Republican line?

Sorry that I had a quibble with your Hillarys speech - just stating my honest opinion, AND I admitted that it *might not have worked*

I just figured an apology might have sent the signal that unity is a two way street.

I loved the speech. I thought she did everything that could be expected of her. I just thought that if she somehow subtely acknowledged that her campaign had something to apologize for then it might help some of her supporters get off the cross they have nailed themselves to. I wasn't asking her to get down on her knees and grovel!

All I was saying was it would be a nice gesture - and you come at me with "get over it?" Jeebus!

The idea isn't that Obama has no (percieved) weak points that the Republicans will attack, but that one doesn't legitimize Republican talking points by lobbing them at other Democrats.

We know that GOP talking points are bullshit, right? That's not some new idea that I've come up with, is it? I haven't stumbled on a "eureka moment" have I? This has been known for quite some time, hasn't it? Most Democrats realize the truth of this don't they? GOP talking points are bullshit. Right? Right?..... Right!?!

So why would we let a Democrat SPEW BULLSHIT GOP TALKING POINTS just because "the GOP is going to do it anyway?"

I was actually trying to praise HIllary. I forgot that criticizing her in any way shape or form is out of bounds. Sorry it wasn't out of malice and it wasn't meanspirited - just an observation.

enough with the histrionics. Geez.... why is every minor criticism of Hillary met with such hyperbole?

she has been ACTIVELY campaigning and raising money for obama since she quit her campaign....really, she is being as good a democrat as she can be.....she was just in florida last week campaigning for obama....michelle said on pbs that hillary called her early on and gave her some much needed advice on how to handle the kids and the press.....michelle made it clear there WAS NO animosity.....

so lets ALL get over it is maybe what i should have said

OUR country is in DIRE need
