Let's call a spade a spade
by sean0806
True Democrats will vote the Democratic ticket. If they choose not to vote for Obama, they are using a multitude of excuses to hide their true racism. People would rather remain poor, disenfranchised and oppressed than vote for a Black man and that's America for you.
Whew!

With the title, I was afraid that your post was going in another direction.

I am sorry but I think that is ridiculous. I was a Hilary Clinton supporter, but I will not vote O'bama. I don't think he is qualified to be the President...end of story. I am so tired of the racist crap. I am not racist. My husband is African American. Give me a break.

I agree with that it defies logic for any Democratic Hillary supporter to vote for McCain and thus allow the Repugnants to remain in power and continue to rip the guts out of this nation and defile the nation's soul. Since this is irrational, the simplest, most obvious explanation is that they are motivated by racist fears. While for most of these PUMAs it is probably much more of a latent, buried fear of a black man becoming president, this creates enough cognitive dissonance for them to act contrary to their direct interests.

Cut me a break & knock off the race card. I am a Democrate & I'm not voting for Obama. I'm voting what is right for my Country. I'm tired of on the job training. look no further than Bush to see how that turned out. I'll vote McCain for president for his experience & Demodrate for control of the house & senate. I was a liberal democrate voting for affirmative action long before you probably knew how to blow your nose.

This is a non-sequitur: “I am a Democrat” and “I am voting what is right for my Country” so “I’ll vote for McCain.” McCain has always been consistently against core Democratic values, and now that he’s been genuflecting to the extreme right wing of the Republican Party for pure politics to get elected, he is even more contrary to Dem values. And as for “on the job training,” how can you compare Obama with the current Clown-in-Chief? Obama asleep with half his brain tied behind his back is infinitely more intelligent than W when wide awake.

Let's call a spade a spade ---Women in this country are still treated as second class citizens. I'm tired of the race card. Can it! I have worked and marched and volunteered my time and my money to advance the plight of women in this country for about 40 years and we aren't much better off than we were then and the treatment of Hilary Clinton just prove's it!!!!

I have voted a straight democratic ticket my entire life--substantially longer than you have been around I am certain. I am married to a minority, my children are minorities--I seriously doubt I am racist (laughing). However, has it ever occured to you that simply because I would never vote against someone BECAUSE of the color of their skin...perhaps if you actually listen to yourself and a significant number of Obama supporters the contrary seems to be the case. You all believe, although he is entirely unqualified and completely without any "life credentials" we ought to vote FOR him because of the color of his skin. Sorry, you do African-Americans, Democrats and intelligent Americans everywhere a grave disservice with this race argument. He is a candidate for a job, just like McCain--you should be voting for the best man for the position. Obama is not it, I will be voting for a republican for the fist time in my life. In the future, use an intelligent argument based upon fact.

Fact: John McCain has never been President of the United States of America.

Fact: John McCain will undergo on the job training to learn how to be POTUS.
