Apple's illusion

I've used a succession of Macs for more than a decade, primarily because I've been a publishing professional and my company was committed to Macs.

I've been subject to a long string of problems with Macs, from built-in modems that didn't work to keyboard issues to frequent crashing of word processing programs. Mac "service" has been all but nonexistent; its response to the modem problem was a coupon for money off a remote modem!

A few years ago, my company hired a new art director, who had the fastest Mac in the company. At home, he (like me) used a PC because it was more reliable.

In fact, I can't remember any time when all of our company Macs were working without problems. One of our competitor companies--a much larger firm--recently moved from Macs to PCs.

I really can't believe Apple is still in business. I mean, no other computers ever have problems - they never break. But Macs do. Why do people put up with this? Why don't they just buy a Windows PC, which never, ever has any problems? Ha. Fools!
