It's hard to believe anybody would even try to remake the brilliant instant classic Mostly Martha. I assume they decided they could make a buck with a remake due to a hollywood name actress and no subtitles. Why oh why did they waste their time and money creating a second rate fake?

The problem is that Mostly Martha so nailed it they were pretty much doomed to failure even with the right cast and as i suspected it sounds like they indeed screwed the pooch.

They might make money anyway, but for god's sake skip this schlack remake and rent Mostly Martha. Get a taste of europe and a big treat from the incredibly charming original.

Many examples can be listed where a country, not just the U.S., translates a quality movie into the native tongue. The results are mixed. I don't blame them for the attempt. I blame them for the shoddy nature of the finished product.
