South park is a CARTOON. It is SATIRE, and NOT meant to be taken seriously. The caracters in South Park are all well-established as relatively stupid, self-centered jerks.

If you are really getting your real-life social attitudes from South Park, you've become one of the characters yourself.

This is a misrepresentation. South Park's writers often illustrate absurdity by being absurd themselves (see the Mohammed/Family Guy episodes) but the points they make are serious and clear. Satirizing and exaggerating the culture is their way of criticizing it.

If you can't see the important role of absurdity and satire in the criticism of serious issues, then it is you who are a charachter - one dimensional at that.
