What Obama didn't learn...
by evensteven

He should have had a speech therapist with him on his trip so he could learn to speak without the use of a teleprompter or a script!

Evidence of that was his abyssmal performance at the Saddleback Church!!

Porky Pig could have done better.

THAT"S IT, PORKY PIG FOR PRESIDENT!!

Yeah, he should have practiced his canned one-liners like McCain. That kind of shit goes over pretty well with the Bible-thumping crowd.

You clearly do not support Obama, or plan to vote for him. So why the continued obsession with his every move? Do you expect an Obama supporter to think, 'oh, evensteven says Obama doesn't speak well, I guess I'll vote for McCain then". I don't know what you're trying to accomplish with your juvenile posts. Do you?

Oh, and I guess the fact..
by evensteven

that Obama was stuttering and stammering so much that he didn't even get a chance to answer all the questions.

Nevermind the fact that Obama swallowed the word "experience" in a statement that he was making. Maybe that's because HE HAS NO FUCKING EXPERIENCE!!!

I watched McCain as well, ans what really had to piss you liberal assholes off is the fact that he showed he has a sense of humor as well.

FUCK OBAMA!!

Like it or not, but many of the swing voters ( in case of this election are white blue collar workers ) do not care for politics. They do not want Lincoln vs Douglas debate answers, instead they want the answers short and sweet. Repeating canned one liners helps to reinforce the message and also helps to keep the message consistent.

Don't think canned one liners work.

Ask GWB, he won two elections with this strategy.

I wonder how well McCain will do at a pro-choice rally or a civil rights meeting.

Obama was asked to go into a hostile environment. A room where no one was likely to support him.

Saddleback is hardly a place where any liberal could last in a conversation because your POV wont jive with theirs. Obama is pro choice, pro-environment, and anti war. The Saddlebackers are a bunch of ignorant war mongers who want more babies to arm and send to the middle east.

Fuck Saddleback!

How long did you attend there?

ohioisforbuckeyes, I know canned one liners work on people who prefer not to think. That's what I said in my original post. I guess I'd rather Obama does not pander to that type of person, but you are correct that that's not a good strategy for winning an election. I hardly think every swing voter falls into that category, though. I'm an independent, for instance, and it's not because I don't like to think. Quite the opposite--which is why I prefer Obama's thoughtful (albeit long-winded) tendencies to the glib, meaningless one-liners from McCain.
What a load of crap!!

Why don't you look at the current debate schedule and look at the moderators:

Jim Lehrer: PBS Left wing biased station

Tom Brokaw: NBC news, NBC is so far in the tank for Obama it's ridiculous!

Bob Schieffer: CBS news: no explanation necessary

You want to equal things out, have Obama agree to a debate on FOX with Bill O'Reilly as the moderator, then we'll see what Obama is made of.

Re: What a load of crap!!

evensteven, what about this for a debate idea: the 'Partisan as Hell' debate, where conservatives get to ask Obama whatever they want, and liberals take a crack at McCain, all at the same time. That takes away the argument that the moderators are biased either way, because they could be completely unapologetic and up front about it. Get that out of the way, then try to do some legitimate debates afterward.

I'm serious, by the way. Then again, I also think the candidates should be forced to compete live on Jeopardy.

I will give you this much...

it would definately be the most watched reality show ever!!!

I would love to see Cafferty go after McCain, and O'Reilly or even better Hannity go after Obama!

Talk about your must see T.V.!!!

Hey, maybe we're onto something here.

Personally, I would love to see a president go on television and really speak his/her mind without having to worry about being politically correct. I would absolutely love to here him/her cuss out the country for being such lazy asses and tell them to get off there asses and find a fucking job to support the 37 kids they popped out instead of having you and I subsidize their lazy asses.

JUST ONCE!!!
