On a More Serious Note
by SpectatorAtTheScene
The lower price the consumer pays, the less the lobstermen are making. As another poster pointed out so well, it's backbreaking, dangerous, expensive work. If the fishermen can't make for than the overhead of bait, boat maintenance, taxes, licensing fees, etc cost them, then they don't fish. The price soon rebounds. When you can afford to eat lobster cheaply, the lobsterman that caught it for you can't afford much.

Well, I should start charging people when I reply to their postings. Because if you can cheaply post your opinions, then I can't afford much.

In fact, that should mean that EVERYTHING should be super-exorbitant.

I'm sure lobsterpeople are nice, and are well-deserving of nice things, but gee, aren't we all?

BTW - please contact me at ard_vrk@sogetthis.com to find out how much I've charged you. 4 paragraphs? Mmmm-mmmm, I'll be eatin' some lobster tonight!
