God Hates Shrimp/Lobster - they are "ABOMINATIONS"
by ard_vrk

THAT is why their price has been falling. Good Christians everywhere are waking up to the fact that our Holy Lord Jeebus has decreed that everyone must still adhere to Levitcal law which states that lobster is an ABOMINATION and hence they should not partake of its evil (but tasty) flesh.

Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

You were probably trying to be funny, since you said Jeebus, but if you want to get biblical about it, then here are a couple of reasons why we are not bound by the law, nor saved by it.

Romans 10:4

4Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Ephesians 2:14-16

14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, 16and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

Galatians 3:23-25

23Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ[h] that we might be justified by faith. 25Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

Shazam! Next time please do some research, even if your intent is to mock.

By the way, this weekend I will enjoy some delicious lobster.

Yummers!

PS - By the way, I had seen that web site before, it is very funny.

PPS - The link to the web site is wrong, it is actually www.godhatesshrimp.com.

Ah, so since Leviticus is also in the old testament Christians must believe it is fine for a man to lie with a man just as he does a woman, just like they're allowed to eat shellfish, right? I mean, if jesus knocked down all the old laws and such...

But those are all Paul's opinion.

1 Corinthians 6:12

12"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything.

Look it up. Anyways, I was just trying to be a bit lighthearted with my response, I was not here to start any theological discussion. The only point I was trying to get across is that Christians are not bound by the food laws from Leviticus and therefore it would be silly to claim that they are. I did not mean to imply that we could just throw every law out the window and be just fine either, it is quite a bit more complicated than that. Like I said, my intent is not to get into any kind of deep discussion, as I was just here to read about the delicious lobster. If you actually want to get info, there are plenty of web sites you can check out online, along with commentaries you can read. Go check out www.blueletterbible.org or www.biblegateway.com.

In conclusion, bacon wrapped shrimp are also very delicious.

Shalom!

So where, clearly, does Jesus (or Paul quoting Jesus) said, "Hey, it's OK to eat shrimp now, but gays are still a no-no!"???

You can't point to it. In fact, you can't EVER point to a quote by Jesus from Paul. You know why? BECAUSE PAUL NEVER HEARD JESUS SPEAK, and he never EVER quotes Jesus, either.

If he had, one of the things he could have quoted Jesus as saying is, ""Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished" (Matthew 5:17-18)."

Have heaven and earth disappeared? Guess Christians aren't supposed to be eating cheeseburgers then.

BTW - please don't quote Paul. He was a conman, trying to muscle his way in. When the REAL Apostles figured out what he was up to, they shunned him, which forced him to turn to the Gentiles to fleece.
