Biden Was Under Psychiatric Care. -
by TickleBob

Biden would be formidable as well. Rumors from inside the Obama camp is that Biden is on the list of elite eight for VP, but I think his talents would be wasted there. Biden would make a much better SOS; in fact, he'd be amazing.

The long shot candidate here BIDEN???

I could be wrong, but wasn't Joseph Biden receiving psychiatric care before he once ran for the President's job??? Wasn't that the reason he was overwhelmingly rejected; potentially a nut-case?

Are we going to see his name as No. 2, first in line to replace Obama. Is this an insurance policy for Obama's life or what?

That's a hard call to make. In my opinion, anyone who admits to being a Democrat is potentially a nut-case.

Just look at the last two idiots they ran for president, Gore and Kerry.....fucking fruitcakes if there ever were fruitcakes.

Then look at the one they are running now....need I say more?

On Friday, after repeated pledges to do so going back more than a year, the McCain campaign is set to release new information about the Arizona Republican's health history. The release, according to the campaign, will cover the year 2000 forward, a period when McCain had three of his four skin cancers removed, as well as lymph nodes and part of a salivary gland. It will not, however, include McCain's psychiatric records, which McCain allowed a select group of reporters to examine in 1999 but have never been released to the public. The new information is unlikely to quash recurring questions about McCain's age, his bouts with cancer, or how his experience in Vietnam may have affected his mind.

...

In 1999, McCain responded to the questions about his mental health by allowing selected reporters to peruse 1,500 pages of his health records dating back to his release from Hanoi in 1973. Reporters were not permitted to photocopy any of the documents. The reporters who looked at the records did not describe any mention of a PTSD diagnosis. However, they failed to note that it would have been impossible for McCain to receive such a diagnosis -- since the term "post-traumatic stress disorder" was not in use until seven years after McCain's release from captivity. The term first appeared in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders in 1980.

Just yesterday I received a mailing virtually begging for money. I tossed it but was tempted to simply use their postage to mail it back with a few choice words.

The man has SERIOUS mental problems. These days that seems to be a qualification for the office.

So far as I know not even a select group of Democrats have been able to view Biden's psychiatric records; it will probably stage another Daniel Elsburg type of event.

All I remember is it was scary enough to put Biden out of the running twenty years ago when we only had a cold war; think of how dangerous he might be as Commander in Chief (in waiting) during a really hot war and stand-offs with Russia, Iran and North Korea.

He's toast.

Thus, another GOP smear has begun

Biden was under psychiatric care.

These kinds of unfounded rumors are casually mentioned, as was here, and soon many of the mindless minions will begin to repeat it as gospel. Another Al Gore was the father of the Internet has begun.

TB,

>>Wasn't that the reason he was overwhelmingly rejected; potentially a nut-case?<<

Umm. Nope.

"Controversy emerged during Biden's candidacy ; he ended his presidential campaign on September 23, 1987 after being accused of plagiarism. Though he had correctly credited the original author in all speeches but one, the one where he failed to make mention of the originator was caught on video. In the video Biden is filmed repeating a stump speech by British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock with only minor modifications. "

And...

"

As a part of this controversy, it was revealed that Biden had been involved in a similar incident during his first year at Syracuse University Law School in 1965. Biden initially received an “F” in an introductory class on legal methodology for writing a paper relying almost exclusively on a single Fordham Law Review article, which he had cited. Biden was allowed to repeat the course and passed with high marks.[4] After ending his Presidential campaign, Biden requested the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Delaware Supreme Court review the issue. The Board concluded on December 21, 1987, after Biden had withdrawn, that the senator had not violated any rules, although Biden did not release this result until May 1989.[5]

Because of this scandal, Biden quit the race early, in December 1987 and did not participate in the 1988 caucuses and primaries, in which Governor Michael Dukakis defeated Jesse Jackson, Senators Al Gore, Paul Martin Simon and other longer-standing contenders."

Until next time,

It's funny that much of McCain's past has seemed to immunize others lest McCain past bites him in the ass!!!

FOR THE RECORD:

Potential running mates: A graphic in Monday's Section A that accompanied an article on potential 2008 vice presidential candidates said Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) had criticized Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, for offering to meet with the leaders of North Korea and Iraq. Obama had offered to meet with the leaders of North Korea and Iran. —

DOES IT MATTER?

Finally, there's the "do no harm" rule: Will the vice presidential nominee turn out to be a problem instead of an asset? In 1972, Democratic vice presidential nominee Thomas F. Eagleton withdrew from the race after a newspaper discovered that he had received psychiatric care, including electric shock treatments.

Of course that was Eagleton; the subject matter above it was, "DOES IT MATTER".

Biden isn't even a popular Democrat; gets something like 2% of the vote in his own parties primaries. Of course he is running in a party that has zero respect for the outcome of those votes.

lol

Re: Does it Matter What You Say?...
by TickleBob

LOL, I only remember something about Biden and psychiatric care; possibly true, possibly not. Even if it were it probably was something simple as getting some Xanex for stress. lol

The funny thing is, well, Google "Biden Was Under Psychiatric Care" and see what pops up. lol

McCain's past is what immunizes him. We know McCain and his past vs. the "Unknown Obama". Nobody is looking for the "perfect president". Right now we are having to rely on the best known, most experienced.

Hot head, womanizer... whatever. We know McCain. Obama really doesn't have a halo and to be honest is so damn new on the national scene that he doesn't inspire confidence, he leaves everyone in "doubt".

Being black, talking white and demonstrating inexperience are not the things I'm looking for in this election. I don't think this is what America wants and I hope he doesn't take Hillary as V.P., because it increases chances he could win. I want Obama beaten like a camper would beat a snake with a stick.
