While the article is an obvious hack designed to rouse angry posts, one point cannot be ignored. The heavy-handed "atmosphere" imposed on the audience, cheerleading, blaring music, and DJ, takes away from the sport and should not have been used in the Olympics IMHO.

Why not ayalon? The Olympics is supposedly about peace and love, so helping the crowd enjoy themselves, would fit into that.

Well, it might be just old curmudgeon me, but the idea of a sweaty MC screaming in my ear and exulting me to clap and wave when told to, does not, shall we say we gently, fill me with a feeling of “peace and love”. If the sport is good, and beach volleyball is damn good in my eyes, such artificial means just do not belong.
