Was undecided...now leaning toward McCain

I read all this media about McCain's negative ad with Britney and Paris. I was a little shocked...and it made me indignant for Obama.

Then I saw the ad.

Really? THAT's what all the hype was about? Now my impression of Obama was similar to that of my 3 yr old when he gets touched by my 1 yr old, and starts weeping. Umm...a pointless tantrum. Can we refer to Obama as "Whiney Baby" now?

It wasn't a negative ad. Actually, I thought it addressed the issue of Obama's lack of experience with a bit of levity. Have we completely lost our senses of humor?

Or is the media simply trying to protect their candidate. Because..."impartial" simply does NOT apply here. That alone makes me lean toward McCain. I get his plan for more nuclear power plants, I get his humor, and I get mad at the media and Hollywood trying to choose the next president.

Sure, the media is "protecting" Obama.

Okay...I'll grant you that...

But I would contend that he didn't compare...he simply flashed two celebrity pictures before calling Obama a celebrity. Maybe some would construe a comparison, but I didn't. I felt it compared him to their celebrity, and presence in the media. I didn't feel like there was a corrolation made with regards to behavior, or personality.

I thought it was a humorous way to address the skewed coverage of this election.

If by "skewed coverage" you mean the nearly 2-to-1 negative coverage of Obama compared to the media's barbecue buddy.

So Issues mean nothing to you...

You choose Presidents based upon ads, about celebrities, bimbos. I understand now how we got stuck with El Presidente Stupido, voters just like you.

Linking to two news story and a commentary on the exact same subject doesn't really bolster the argument.

Anyone who thinks, a week after all three network anchors followed Obama on his curtain measuring jaunt, and spinning his erroneous analysis of the surge to help him, with that being pretty much the only coverage of Iraq over the past 6 months when violence has dropped so markedly, and seeing Obama's picture, normally framed to show a halo effect, plastered regularly across the cover of the weeklies, that the media isn't in the tank for Obama is blind.

well, exceptin Paris's mother.....

...the venrable Mrs Hilton donated $4200 to the McCain campaign. In this simple boy's mind, that's disloyal disgratitude. Not a good character trait. Paris Hilton didn't want to me made the butt of jokes. She's a person too, whatever her personal habits are. And Mrs. Hilton donatin to McCain, now if she donated to a Democrat and he did that to her, I'd say he's a no good someobitch.

You mean by repeating his name over and over and over so that suddenly you totally forget that Obama is running against someone

Just because you don't like the conclusion of the study doesn't mean it isn't based on facts.

Sure, why should an actual study and analysis of the facts convince you when you have your Hannity-assigned talking points! Just dismiss it because it doesn't fit your you narrative.

Time to rejoin the reality-based community.

I find it sad with all the problems facing our country McCain would place an add like that. All McCain can do right now is attack and brings no new ideas of his own and is borrowing some of Obama's. Now they are trying to make a joke about the tire inflation and keeping up on car repairs Obama suggested when the facts are that doing that would save more oil then the new drilling would produce! That is fact look it up.

With all going on and a reaction to an add is making up your mind. Why don't you do a little research into the kind of man McCain really is.

Look how he treated his first wife that stood by his side while he was a POW. Ross Perot who paid for McCains wifes surgery after her car accident while he was a POW can't stand the man, and Perot, regardless of what you think of him is a man that has done great things for Vetrans and has paid the medical bills on many who have been injured and especially those who have lost limbs. McCain married his current wife one month after he divorced his first wife. Wow nice man, just because something bad happened to him does not give him the right to be an ass and dump his injured wife for a rich much younger model. His wife is also worth millions and he collects Social Securtiy, but look into his plans for the future of the program. Did everyone forget he was one of the Keating 5?

He cries now about unfair media but he used to call them his base.

I was leanin' towards McCain, but then I saw these ads that talk about nonsense. You know...McCain says that including Paris Hilton and Britaney Spears was just trying to be funny.....and then I thought...this guy hasn't got a sense of humor. Now I'm voting Obama.

We are paying $4 for a gallon of gas, we have $9 trillion national debt and a disaster for a war in Iraq....and McCain wants to point out that Obama is a celebrity. Never mind that Obama is a very persuasive leader and has some good ideas for what to do about the war in Iraq and the price of oil......"vote for me, I was a POW" should be enough, right?

Americans have no sense of humor, if you make a joke, your either racist or making light of a situation. Unless of course its a Dick and Bush joke, and ends with a word describing a female body part.

If you thought the ad with Paris Hilton and Britany Spears was funny you are truly easy to amuse.
