it is kind of paradoxical that the scientists say that our smell has a point, but we spend so much time trying to erase it. last time i checked, smelling like a hoagie led to jokes and ridicule. i'm sure that has a biological behavioral explanation too, but speaking of ridicule, i'd fell kind of ridiculous trying to translate a control study where women smell dirty t-shirts to real life in the first place.

if scientists explain pedophilia it still won't stop us saying that it is utterly wrong. i say this half-seriously, because i'm certain that there's a biological component to that particular problem, one that is stronger and more primal and more pervasive. i'm guessing that studies on this would have to pass through a pretty heavy cipher before they appear as a headline. I'm thinking of it now.
