Something is wrong here

Look who's talking. When's the last time you got a tune-up?
Do the math, asstain

Let's say you get a tune-up once a year, and it costs $250.

Let's say you subscribe the the messiah's energy plan, and you tune up your car and keep the proper air pressure in your tires, thereby eliminating the need for America to drill for more oil.

Let's say you're drive 20,000 miles a year, and get 20 MPG. A 4% improvement in your gas mileage saves you $200, which nearly pays for your tune-up.

Now there's change we can believe in!

You're doing it all wrong.

Thursday afternoon I made sure all my tires were properly inflated and gas has gone down $0.12/gallon since then. Paid $3.39/gallon today. Haven't heard any reports of new wells being drilled since Thursday either.

Actually BFD, I was scanning the

national news headlines this morning, and saw:

"BFD inflates tires, gas prices retreat!"

Same old shit, BFD. Gas is cheap, economy is prosperous, so we buy big gas guzzling cars. Gas gets expensive, economy softens, we wring our hands, blame the government, drive less and buy smaller fuel efficient cars. Gas prices will go down again, and people will again buy their guzzlers. Then they'll go up, and it will be the president's fault. Phil Gramm was at least partially right.

I know.

That's why I haven't gotten too worked up over the energy debate. Car makers are tooling up to make smaller vehicles. When prices go down, monster trucks will be in again. I do like the wind farms and solar energy ideas for increasing electrical supplies. Great ideas.
