My Friends Mother,who lived to 95,had a notebook that she kept everything written down.

We were surprised to see she had written down,"Ellen Degenerate." We all had a good laugh over that one.

I was not where I could get a live feed of last night's Olypmic Political Affair. I'm getting replays of bits of it and relying on what's written. The hard part about the "written" is that all coverage tends to have the author's personal comments, distracting from the candidates responses.

As a crowd pleaser, McCain seems to have left with the advantage; Obama only messing up when he claimed the determination of beginning of a human life by taking an "it's over my head" position. If he was at least as smart as everyone says, he would have remembered the target for him was support from evangilicals, the ones he claims hold on to their beliefs in God (religion) and their guns... You know the rest. Using the two in the same characterization turned me off the first and only time he will say anything like that again.

McCain knows what he is talking about.That is sure.However he blusters a bit too much after what we have seen. I do not think he would be foolhardy in office.

He has a temper,but so do I.You learn to use that temper as you get older and not let it control your actions.

Obama is still on the hope bit. Once in a while he will say what he wants to do.

I do not think much will change unless we get new people in the Congress.Too many old fogies,only concerned about holding on and the new ones do not have much of a chance.That may change with new ones this year.if we get enough. And,I am not referring to just getting enough votes in the Senate. We need new leadership too. Boehner,Pelosi,Reid and Clyburn are all a waste of time.And Mitch McConnell is useless.I hope Kentucky gets rid of him and Ohio would do us a faver with Boehner. He lives in Florida and Wexler lives in WDC.

For the short period when the city of San Francisco was performing gay marriages, Ellen wanted to marry Anne Heche. I wonder how long that marriage would have lasted before she decided she "loved" Portia de Rossi instead ?
