Jesus wept... while I laughed

This is too funny. Always thought these wacky evangelicals’ faith was a mile wide and an inch deep. There is a reason why these gullible people are always taken to the cleaners by their money-grubbiing pastors.
For most of them, their faith seems to be based on nothing more than a cult of personality surrounding their favorite pastor. I don’t think very many of them understand Christianity very much at all in any kind of context other than their insular little world of big-box, retail-style religion. This talk of “branding” and “franchising’ fits in perfectly with this mentality.
I am not religious myself, but I have seen enough of these hypocrites on TV and various videos to know how they operate. I am always amazed at how little they utilize actual Bible teachings, relying almost entirely on silly theatrics and crowd manipulation techniques. And then they and their congregations condescendingly pray for the people who laugh at them, like myself.
Keep on praying people, because your prayers just ain’t working to save the soul of this sinner. I think you’d better try harder. And while you’re at it, how about doing it far, far away from me? You can have your weird superstitions and intolerance for critical thought. Just keep them to your selves. People like me pity your gullible and easily manipulated minds.
These “video churches” are the logical end step of this kind of idiotic idolatry, unless these con men are considering opening Chick-Fil-A franchises in the churches themselves. Their “flocks” deserve the fleecing they get from these hypocrites.
