Another One Got Away

Alberto Gonzales is still here, still sitting at the Attorney General's Table. It is just a reminder of one more failure of the Democratic run Congress. It is getting or should I say, it is downright embarrassing for the Democrats. They promised so much while asking us for our votes and confidence in them,so far, they haven't delivered on one of them.

The Democrats are sleep walking through their first few months. There is not one item on their agenda, they focus on. They gave half hearted attempts to bring the Troops home. They could have stopped the Funding for the war and chose not to. They talked of Impeaching Bush but, chose to take it off the table. Recently Senator Finegold put a Centure Bill for Bush, Harry Reid is not interested, there's to much to do, whatever that means.

The Democrats were going to clean up the act that the Republicans left. Have a solid Ethics program, a watered down version was put in its place. The Dems said no more PORK added to Bills for passage, a few Barrels were added to existing Bills.

I could go on and on but, what's the use. Both party's are mirror images of each other, cloned from the same egg. I can think of a few choice words to call what they did but, I'll keep it "G" rated by saying, they Betrayed us. They thought it more important to look after their jobs then service the Country and its people, which is their jobs.

We need a very strong Third Party or a Revolution if we are to change the course this country is headed on. Any Volunteers?

There aren't enough votes for removing Bush from office. I'm not saying that Congress shouldn't introduce impeachment proceedings anyway, just to make a statement, but that's all it would be.

As far as ending the war, again, there aren't enough votes. The Republicans in the House filibustered just a few days ago to prevent a vote on measures to end the war. And even if they had overcome the filibuster, the President would have vetoed the bill.

I hoped for more from Congress, too, but there's only so much you can do with less than 60% of the House and the slimmest of margins in the Senate. Do you plan for your third party to achieve a filibuster-proof majority in Congress?
