The idea of shedding one's physical body after attaining some level of purity and secret knowledge isn't a new one. It has been around for thousands of years. Scientology is simply gnosticism gift wrapped in the 21st century.

What is this ? An intelligent posting amongst all the chaf. In the book "the God delusion he states on page 101 that scientology is the only intelligently designed religion, he says the Mormons tried but they had to lie about thier origins, I wonder how many of the religeous fanatics who posted replies here studied evolution ,geology, paleontology or even thier own religion in any depth. Maybe they should read of the thousands of documented cases of reincarnation documented by Prof.Stevenson .
