Low cut Blouses and good taste......

In a thread below BA mentioned that she had seen the recent potter movie with her daughter. I chimed in with a comment about a public speaking engagement that I saw JK do at an English high school a few years back. I also mentioned that I thought her choice of a low cut blouse was rather in poor taste for the occasion. Nicole Carpathia quickly called me up on this asking just why It was that I was fixed on the blouse and not on the speech......a very good question really and one that made me self examine a bit. She does make a good point as she ususally does.

On the other hand, even though I should not have been distracted by the blouse, I was. If I was distracted at my age it is a sure bet that 16 year old high School boys would also be quite interested in what was on the other side of that low cut blouse. If I was the unencumbered scholar I pretend to be such things should mean little or nothing to me; After all she was well dressed and came prepared to do a good thing in behalf of the high school class she was speaking to. So why do I offend over such things? Some civilizations in times past actually encouraged thebare breasts in public and in time I would suppose that any sight becomes common place when seen enough.

The same could be said for men who wear clinging pants that leave nothing to the imagination although there is a definite difference between a topless man and a topless woman. I suppose it's a matter of culture, taste and intellect....still though I don't think even the most promiscuous people here would deliver a business address totally nude or go to a job interview adorned in a nice set of ass-less chaps.

I will admit to having mooned a few individuals in my life time. Then there is the famous story of the square in Cuba named Asne de Gringo plaza...for more info on that see Jack Dallas.

I have to ask myself this question:

If I were a woman what would I do??? Frankly I don't know. Niether do I have any real way to relate to this situaiton. I can't picture myself in spandex hot pants going to work at the mill but I suppose I would have a right to them if I so desired.

I spoke at a high school recently.

I did not wear a low-cut blouse. But the students did. I've never seen so much underage cleavage in my life.
did she look like this?

here's a link. i googled "rowling cleavage". <link>

yep . .. they're store bought.

i stand by my earlier post. conspicuous consumption.

expensive boob jobs for us are like expensive cars for guys.

except they last longer, and they get us out of traffic tickets, instead of causing them.

It's worse during summer

It seems to me that if your job description does not include the word CLEAVAGE, it makes professional sense to cover up your tits. This does not apply to strippers or whores.

I recently went on a tear over two women I saw wearing slutty halter dresses at church. It is as if their sense of modesty was non-existant. They had no taste. Sad.

Topless men are just as scintillating to women as the reverse of topless women are to men.

But to be sure, clinging pants are worth seeing on a man when the rest of the body musculature fits with the "aphrodisiac image" that the clinging pants evoke.

That will be the day when you are seen in SPANDEX'S HOT PANTS! Have you gotten into SPANDEX's Pants yet?

Better nutrition, being healthy and wearing WalMart t-shirts that are inexpensive but provide the "cleavage exposure" are a necessary requirement of modern-day life.

All you have to do is go through the WalMart store and just look at what is being offered up "inexpensively" for consumption.

And it is all Made in China to boot~!

It's all in the point of view I suppose

being elevated on the stage would provide a geographical advantage. I wonder if this problem is common to most public speakers. :)
Heh heh ....

Yeah, I kinda thought so too but then again there does appear to be some reward in it.
It seems to be more common in England

Trends do tend to concentrate geographically. Recently I noticed in a town about 40 miles west of worcester clothing styles that were popular in 10-12 years ago.

I hated low-cut blouse but I have been wearing it. Low-cut makes my legs look shorter and feel unsafe once it dropped. I'd struggled for year but finally succumbed to the market- all blouses in market are low-damn-cut!!

Your short legs look shorter?

What dropped? The blouse or the blouse's contents?

Not all blouses are lo-cut. Some are hi-cut as well.

It just depends where you shop. Shopping at Frederick's of Hollywood will only give you lo-cut blouses. Shopping at Macy's can provide a variety of lo-cut, mid-cut and hi-cut blowses.
