The Real Elephant In The Room
by luda

Be real. The ancient, little Warmonger could drop dead of old age as we speak. Cancer ridden, a physical wreck with a thousand page Medical Record, who really believes this ancient old man could survive the rigors of a Presidency? Bush in 2000 was a health nut, physically fit and eight years later is a shell shocked, old drunk. McBush would not survive a single term and could be other World Leaders Father- Harper, Brown, Merkel. Why isn't the MSM focusing on the simple fact that Grampa McCain should pack up the Viagara, Adult Diapers and just find a good Nursing Home?

McCain is in such bad shape partly because he spent 5 years at the Hanoi Hilton getting his ankles broken and not getting adequate medical care for his broken arm. If you had been in that situation, how would you look now? Probably dead. Have some respect for a man who fought to give you the chnace to be so arrogant.

I want to know why Obama idolizes a father who walked away from his wife and son to pursue his own desires. As far as I can tell the racist white grandparents were the ones who actually fed and housed him while his mother floated around Asia and his father forgot him altogether. I don't think I want a man who belittles the people who cared for him while agrandizing a deadbeat sperm donor of a dad to be in any position of power. Obama and the Clintons are the same socialist (read the rest of you pay while I become a dictator) scam artist material - and if Obama gets elected we're in for a miserable time. Many posts here acclaim how well Obama did at Harvard (not really a good measure of intelligence) but being a well educated president doesn't make one a good president. Jimmy Carter was a very intelligent and well educated man but he was an awful president.

1. McCain would be the oldest ever sworn in for his first term. We saw what it was like to have a president suffering from alzheimers and there is every reason to think that McCain is already showing signs of dementia. He certainly has shown that he doesn't mind doing favors for political donors if the price is right.

2. Carter wasn't nearly as awful a president as Ford was and Bush will go down as one of the very worst presidents. If given the choice between voting for Carter or George W. Bush, I can bet where most people would turn.

3. The rest of your post seems to say that Obama's father, mother and grand parents are running for president.

Wow, it's remarkable that anyone would fear an Obama presidency while the country has nearly crumbled under the weight of the most incompetent president in modern history.

Let's see, we were attacked on 9/11 even though this administration got fair warning receiving a memo named "Bin Laden determined to attack US." We're mired in a war that has cost us over 4000 American soldiers lives, not to mention many civilian contractors and civilian Iraqi lives. Our standing in the war has weakened dramatically as we've sponsored torture and suspended hapeas corpus. Those Abu Ghraib photos were a nice cherry on top.

We've illegally wire-tapped American citizens. Passed the Patriot Act to further destroy our civil rights. Our economy is in the tank. The dollar has fallen to historic lows. Foreigners are coming to this country because it's a cheap vacation. (Everything is half off!) People are losing their homes. (Thanks Phil Gramm!) The average median income has fallen by a thousand dollars. Gas prices have nearly tripled. (What! The war didn't pay for itself in gas money?) Oh and we've lost a half a million jobs since the beginning of the year.

Yeah, why on earth would we want to go in a different direction? We need another president just like Dubya. Dubya was just an average student. John McCain was damn near the bottom of his class. He's an even bigger dummy. Great! Maybe we can finally get this country to completely sink under the ocean. You know, not just New Orleans.
Merely posting extreme rhetoric

...doesn't rebut your opponent's argument, in case you didn't know.

hardly a word of truth in your rant...

Your objectivity is impressive.

<irony off>

Another fine rebuttal!

I don't pretend to be "objective" (and neither are you, of course)...
Re: Merely posting extreme rhetoric

Well, I'm clearly not objective, that's what eight years of complete and utter incompetence will get you. However, if you didn't like my rant why don't you go ahead and dispute the claims? As for my opponent's argument let me go over some of the details.

His first point about McCain's military service is premised on the idea that he can receive no criticism because he fought in the war. (Didn't work out for Kerry or Clark. Only Rebubs I guess.) I have no idea to the extent that Obama "idolizes" his father, but you could do worse than someone who comes to the US to follow their dreams and allows you to grow up in the greatest country on earth. As for calling Clinton and Obama commies, well that trite is just so damn old. I'm not sure what leg anyone who continues to support the Bush-McCain agenda has after eight years of collapse.

Fuck McCain and go fuck yourself as well.

You must just be so proud.

Why would I possibly respect this piece of shit? He is an lying, adulterous, corrupt fraud that is a physical wreck and emotionally deranged. No one, other than the morons that actually voted to RE-ELECT the Bush/Cheney regime and want a third term could possibly vote for this ancient, portly little Warmonger.

Know him well, do you?

Re: The Real Elephant In The Room

are you actually disputing any part of that characterization of McCain?

Maybe he hasn't lied, wasn't unfaithful to his first wife and didn't roll over on a number of opportunities to help his political donors at the expense of the voters......but that isn't what the evidence says.

If you can't be objective, just shut up. At least fake it!
