Delusions - Good News About Iraq
by rjay1

I tuned into this cyber rag because my buddy had told me it was a liberal journal. And it seemed that way when I first began reading it a couple of years ago. But lately it seems overridden with Neo-Con rhetoric. Anyone who thinks we have done well in Iraq is without a conscience. It’s like Iraqi’s are slaves or chattel. I guess since you’re not an Iraqi, the 600-800,000 dead or maimed Iraqis and the tens of thousands of US military causalities are a sign of success for a US Imperialist land grab. What a bunch of malarkey. Screw the bringing democracy to Iraq PR. There are still dozens of dictatorships we ignore because, no money in it. Witness the huge oil contracts recently signed with US Companies in Iraq. That a land grab. The huge oil companies getting the rights to huge territories of oil producing property and completely played down in the news. Huge shares of the Iraqi oil to the US Imperialist Corporations and condoned and sanctioned by the puppet government we set up there. Every Presidential election the Republican’s manage to lower the price of oil dramatically to lull the American Public into temporary complacency just prior tot he election. No coincidence this price retreat . Within 2 months of the election being over, the price of oil rises dramatically again due to a refinery fire or other such manipulation. Anyways, this rag is a disappointment. The columnists are closet neo-cons now with dumb arguments. Yeah we are doing just great in Iraq. What a smart humane bunch that Bush and his Cronies. They brought democracy to the Iraqi people and I suppose we are prosperous here as well. The columnist are low grade and delusional.

This change depresses me to no end.

A lot of my liberal friends won't even date someone if they don't know the right shiboleth anymore. The Balkanization of this country is going to be the end of us.

Hearing the other side - I've heard enough Republican jive to last a lifetime - they're nothing but factionalizing fear mongering liars using expensive think tanks to figure out just how to splinter and prey upon the inner fears of the everyman who can't see through their ruse - Americans will be Goose Stepping down Main Street if you Evil Doers ( If ever I have heard the pot callng the kettle black that is GW's famous phrase ) continue to win the war of influencing and scamming the uneducated public - Too many dumb Americans who fall for your factionalizing persuasion tactics -The all time hypocritical words of GW - Evil Doers = The Republicans certainly can lay clain to that title - you are another Neo Con clone - if you are rich then I can understand your being a greedy Republican dog because those are the only people who benefit from voting thusly - the Republicans should therefore only get about get 3% of the total vote - the balance that they receive must be from idiots!

Wait, I'm confused... which side is "factionalizing" American society? 'cause its just one side, right? Just one side demonizes anyone who disagrees with them?
