Who killed the electric car?

From what I understand, it killed itself. It was too costly to maintain and keep up from what I read.

It shouldn't be given up though. Alternative sources of fuel and cars need to be extremely reliable.

On a 4 hour charge, you can go 120 miles @ a top speed of 100 mph on the electric motor. So I have not figured out what could be to costly about this.

ZERO emisions, ZERO sound, ZERO waste??

It takes energy to make electricity to charge the battery. I have heard nice things about the Prios. Great gas mileage for city travel.

Well, from what I understand, it would have been too much money to make the electric car and too much to own or lease.

Apparently it took 45 minutes and 15 hours to re-charge and it was sold in limited areas.

I'm not really a big fan of documentaries because they only show one side of things. Believe me, I'm all for a reliable, affordable and safe electric car and I believe we'll see that in the coming years.
