Torie Bosch's Provincial View On Recovery
by ncaanan

Why would someone receive a refund for something that they have to do on their own? If you break your arm, go to a hospital for treatment and then days later remove the cast against doctors orders and it breaks again, do you sue the doctors? Do you get a refund? No. So the reason they don’t is NOT because success rates are too low. Success rates for broken arms healing are high, but no one is offering a refund for negligence. Relapse is negligence and is NOT a part of recovery. Anyone who says it is rationalizing a legitimate reason to drink/use. My total cost for treatment? $90,000 for 4 months at a well-known treatment center in Pennsylvania and $135,000 for a long-term facility in New Jersey. I’ve been sober for over 3 years. If I relapsed, why would I ask for a refund? If I relapsed it would be me and me alone responsible, not the treatment center. I’m not sure what idiot hired you for the position hold, but you would certainly have to do much better than that. Do I get a refund on my internet service because of your garbage that I had to read? Probably not, since the success rates of fledgling internet columnists is pretty low and many of them eventually fizzle out and work at McDonalds, like Torie Bosch.

You're wound kind of tight there, Mr. I spent over 200,000 dollars. I hope you got more than a long-winded version of "go to AA" for all that money. Bosch has a legitimate question; Americans demand recompense for an unsatisfactory product all of the time. I do wish you well, though, sincerely, as I do to all addicts.
