I Loathe Paris
by DrNo
+4/-1 Reply

Every time I look down on this timeless clown
Whether blue or gray be the sky
Whether loud be her cheers or where soft be her jeers
More and more do I realize

I loathe Paris in the springtime
I loathe Paris in the fall
I loathe Paris in the winter when it drizzles
I loathe Paris in the summer when it sizzles

I loathe Paris every moment
Every moment of the year
I loathe Paris
Why oh why do I loathe Paris
Because I can see through ear to ear

But I love Paris at this moment
At this moment of the year
I love Paris
My oh my do I love Paris
Because she fucked John in the rear

Ah, Paris

Apologies to Cole Porter

A Classic! Never to fade away.....

Ah, Simple beauty. If there's anything funnier than the Paris video, I haven't seen it.

Whoever thought it up deserves an award.

dont hate her because she's beautiful

hate mccain, because he's too dense to realize when he's getting bad (campaign) advice.

most people would have been able to discern that attacking obama with pop culture imagry has nothing to with the "brand message" of straight talk on the issues.

either john is even dumber than we've been led to believe, or his advisors are secretly working for obama

Yeah. Just One of Those Things, I guess.

Yes, It's really Something To Shout About.

Bad Campaign Advice
by Urquhart

It's sorta cute to see people on this board alternately hand-wringing and crowing about how a McCain-Paris fight is somehow bad for McCain. You can't buy this kind of publicity.
It's gold.

Of course the Press was shocked, shocked at the tone of the McCain campaign last week. See, he's supposed to lose graciously. It's says so right there in the script.

Fortunately, his campaign people have finally gotten their act somewhat together.

Ever since Hanoi Hilton, McCain has been Too Darn Hot under the collar. I think his mantra since has been Don't Fence Me In.

I don't know judging from many of the responses on the youtube site where it played I saw lots of people posting they were on the fence about him until they saw him kick a little butt by mocking Obama's Messiah and Celebrity persona.....Many posted on youtube that they were glad he said it and how much they enjoyed it.

I think he said what needed to to be said and it was well overdo

Judging from his poll numbers it seems to have helped him.

I was referring to your post.

"I was referring to your post."

Then it's really, really Something To Shout About, and I suspect many are missing the Cole Porter references.

Actually the general consensus seems to be that the ad is working even better than expected. Obie keeps losing ground and the McCain campaigne seems more energized.

mccain was one of the few to
by baltimore aureole

mccain was one of the few in congress to see the ethanol subsidies for what they were

in the long run, that may prove to be a stronger indication of smarts, rather than obama still claiming the surge didn't work (full disclosure - i was against the surge when it was proposed too)

that said, in the short run its swimming upstream to talk against ethanol subsidies.

there's just too damn many farmers, and a lot of them vote republican

buy shares in "international harvester" if you play the stock market, i guess

right message, wrong messenger
by baltimore aureole

this sort of thing (character attacks) is what you send your vp out to do.

the candidate should remain above all that, and speak only of his vision for helping americans live better lives.

if mccain had named his damn vp already we wouldn't be having this conversation
