I am going to take a beating for this but I don't find the adds really all that negative. At first I thought they were just silly and stupid, and then I thought wtf?,,,,,,,,Then I thought about it some more and it occurred to me that they are actually.....rather clever.
See Obama has (with the exception of Harding?) the thinniest resume of anyone ever having rcvd a major party nomination for President of USA in our countries history. Like it or not, there is an image of him as all flash an no substance. His speech in Berlin which has largely back fired on him in retrospect in front of adoring crowds is now widely scene as a premature victory lap. He is adored, loved but millions of Americans are still asking who is he? What does he stand for? His speeches offer little in substance, he is over his head when it comes to foreign policy, he does not have a clear voice on the economy (either does McCain for that matter).
So painting him as celebrity works. Not because he is on the same level as some blonde bimbo starlett by any means but because of his razor thin resume and lack of experience. Either way the image sticks.
Honestly in light of everyone speculating if McCain has altzheimer's I find the adds on the lighter side of things.
