i missed four independents.

i lived in chicago for many years and the ballot had about three quarters of those parties listed. dailey's precinct people made sure the democrats poured out but they never fought anybody trying to get on the ballot. that was due to clout and the resulting confidence.

What's telling is that both major parties used to draw from the third parties and indys. Some suggested, for example, Nader join the Democrats. The thing is...since Perot ran..there hasn't been another national debate with a third party or independent...and the two major parties no longer draw from them, instead, we have those who were in major parties joining to lead the third parties... Bob Barr Libertarian? Give me a fucking break! Cynthia McKinney Green? Same shit..as Nader said.
