Foreign Prosecutions

I am one who believes, sadly, if any will be brought to justice for the criminal acts committed by our government, it will likely happen through foreign prosecutions. I believe Bush is a war criminal and those who acted on his orders are also guilty of crimes, however, I doubt we have the political will to excise this cancer. I also suspect Bush will issue a sufficiently broad pardon to prevent prosecution here at home should we ever find the will. Fortunately, the pardons will not shield those from foreign prosecution. Perhaps Bush himself will be landlocked to the US.

One can only hope.

Nice to see that Irving isn't shy about letting people know that he is a moron.

And what would the form of these prosecutions be? Are they going to extridite American citizens?

The whole idea is absurd. Do you really believe President Obama is going to sit by while the long arm of the Belgian Law reaches into America.

The only real judge that the Bush Administration is going to face, is that of history.

No, but if anyone indicted by a foreign court leaves the United States, they may find themselves subject to legal process there. This has happened with the former leaders and officials of other countries before.
