I choose dairy

I quit drinking Soy Milk because it costs so much more than dairy milk, and soy doesn't mix well in my coffee. Plus, I like the taste of cow's milk better than Silk.

I don't really care what the animal rights people think. I'll drink cow's milk and eat meat and non-local non-organic veggies to my heart's content.

If PETA wants to send me vouchers or checks to eat vegan, then I'll do it. As long as I'm working to earn my own living, then I will decide how I spend it.

No one wants to force you to be a vegan. PETA wants you to choose to be a vegan. Be open minded. Check out their webpages and see if you don't agree with at least some of their points. They really just care about the animals, not about forcing a lifestyle on anyone. For that, you have to look to the right wingers...

"They really just care about the animals, not about forcing a lifestyle on anyone."

Yeah. It's not like they're using scare tactics and shameless press stunts to further their cause. They're not trying to force anyone into anything.

I have no doubt that PETA, being composed primarily of insane people, would force you at gunpoint into being a vegan if they could get away with it. They are fanatical to the point of being terrorists, impossible to argue or reason with and annoying to the point of causing brain damage besides.

And don't give me that right wing crap. Liberals are all about forcing people to accept their way of life. The only difference is they disguise their brand of control with a nice smiley face sticker and the gentle assurance that it's "for your own good."

Veganism is NOT an option for everyone. Neither is vegetarianism.

I (and all others with thyroid diseases) cannot eat soy at all. Not that I didn't like it - I did (I know, strange) I drank soy milk and ate tofu - bean curd - whatever. I was still getting sicker and sicker.

Finally did some research and found out (thanks Doc for not having a clue) that soy is a 'goitotronic' - which means it is an active agent in food. It kills the thyroid medicine that patients with thyroid disease take to live. It also can disrupt thyroid function in many people.

So - back to good old Cow's milk and dairy products for me. I like having a normal lifespan. Given that 1 in 8 women have thyroid irregularities, forcing soy down the throats of the public seems rather cavelierof the PETA and far left - wouldn't you say?

Of course PETA wants to force people to be vegan

PETA wants to force people to be vegan. If crazy Ingrid could make farming animals and eating meat illegal, she would.

PETA also supports breed bans, pet euthanization, and sterilization in order to create a world where no domestic animals or animals dependent on humans for survival (which they consider to be enslaved) exist.

So PETA cares about animals so much that they want to ensure a future where no dogs, cats, pigs, cows, chickens, or guppies exist except those who turn feral and establish independent populations in the wild.

They care about animals so much that they go around to animal shelters adopting animals under false pretenses and then killing them. <link>

So next time one accosts me on the street....

....I'm going to yell "Get away from me, puppy-killer!" Then I'm going to douse them with pig's blood.

Sounds like a fun time. If you want to join me, I'll be serving foie gras and champagne afterwards.

Oh, Messy, let me come!

I will take a giant bite of my blue-rare steak and french kiss the poor schmuck right before you dump blood on him.

MMmm, nothing says sexy like a crying wuss.

I'll bring party hats

I'd love to host this party. Where does this Mike guy get off, saying that PETA doesn't try to force people into veganism?

Has he forgotten that nasty stunt that PETA pulled about two-three years ago, touring college campuses with pictures that compared and tried to equate animal farming to slavery in America?

PETA can suck my meat-fed t*ts.

Actually, Messy, I like to wear vinyl and then inform the PETA folks that petroleum products are made from dead baby dinosaurs.

*sigh*

My ancestors spent millions of years clawing their way to the top of the food chain, it would be rude of me to throw away all their effort like that.

LOL!

Chicago is full of tourists right about now, and PETA holds a lot of protests on Michigan Avenue at this time of year. I think the funniest was a weekday event with nekkid women (why not men? tiny penises from all that soy?) in cages in front of a fur store....

...Which is only open on weekends in the summer.....
