Obama's position on Iraq
by Skeptical3
+1/-2 Reply

1. We should never have invaded Iraq.

2. Once we got there we should have left

3. Now that we are winning the war in Iraq we must leave.

4, If things go bad after we leave I will send the troops back to fight a new war.

Barack Obama is the name conning the nation is his game.

War?
by Trebuchet

Are we at war with the Iraqis?

Again? I thought we went in after Saddam, right?

Why are we still fighting the Iraqis if Saddam is dead?

You don't seem to be making much sense.....

War?

And here's McCain's:

1. It was a fantastic idea to invade Iraq more than 5 years ago.

2. We shouldn't even discuss timelines because that just helps Al Queda, but I will end the war in either 2010, 2011, 20112, but definitely by 2013. I know how to win wars based upon my war winning experience.

3. Of course we have to listen to the wishes of the duly elected government of Iraq. If they say we should leave, we will. But now that they said it loud and clear that's not really what they meant. I know better than everyone even if I don't know who everyone is.

4. We won the war as a result of the surge so we can't leave. Just ask the sheik we protected during the surge so he could start the 'awakening movement" right after the surge started. Yes I know he was blown to bits by insurgents last summer, but now your whining.

5. The Iraqis have really made a bunch of political progress. The list is so long of their accomplishments that I can't even begin to name them.

6. Where is Afghanistan again? I was supposed to be the one to bring that up cause I'm an expert on winning wars my friends.

McCain makes Bush look semi-competent. And that's nearly impossible to do.

So you don't have the answer...
by Trebuchet

Who are we at war with? The Iraqis? What happened to all that purple finger crap? If Saddam is dead, why are we at war?

What are you talking about, war?

No dice, Mr Obfuscater. No changing

of the subject to suit the Obama Propaganda Machine.

Now, your attention, please.

Deny that Barack Obama is his name conning the nation is his game said that he will send our troops back into Iraq if trouble breaks out and Iraq's military cannot handle Iran's stooge Sadre for example, or a re-invasion of Iraq by al Qaeda for example.

Speak up.

Excuse me? You are talking about John McCain
by Trebuchet

You may not be a big fan of John McCain as president (I certainly am not) but you still need to show him some respect.

McCain served our country in the military (granted, his father kept his boots dry, up until he got himself shot down, but at least his father didn't keep him out of Vietnam like you know who!) and he has served his country in the Senate. I have not always agreed with him on all his positions on political issues, but that is still no reason to vilify him.

McCain has a right to run for president. He may no longer be qualified for the job, what with his age and his inability to grasp modern politics, but that will be clear to the public long before November.

The only question really left for the electorate to decide at this point is simply, is White America grown up enough to make a decision about presidential politics without letting race get in the way.

I certainly hope so. If not, then we get what we deserve.

Mr Obama said in 2007 that he would launch attacks on al-Qaeda hideouts in Pakistan, with or without Pakistan's consent, if Pakistan did not act itself on intelligence about the presence of high-value terrorist targets.

the election of Pres. Obama. His poor niece will be hoping for taxpayer funding to bury his putrid carcass. In the few years Skeptical has left, let's let him be. All he has left is the barstool analysis he and his mates arrive at daily....and there's really not much reason to try countering it.
Re: No dice, Mr Obfuscater. No changing

Yes I deny Obama is conning the nation. OK? Iran's stooge? I guess you missed the red carpet treatment your favorite Iranian leader got when he visited the "duly elected" officials of Iraq. A "reinvasion ny Al Queda". I thought the Iraqis were supposed to take care of that. What Obama said is that we may keep a small counterterrorism force in the region to deal with any potential problems that may crop up. If Iraq is in such bad shape that its in danger of falling apart if we leave within 16 months, then this whole thing has really been a massive waste hasn't it?

Now deny that McCain has no clue how long it will take to alleviate the threat of Al Sadr or other such scum. It could be never right? Also deny that McCain has never stated what his definition of 'victory" is. If your looking for Iraq to turn into Cleveland, we'll be there in force forever.

OK?

not much reason to try countering it.....

ah, fair!

Because you can't??
