Thirteen Whole Pages Of Starbucks Talk!!
by LeRoy_Was_Here

Moneybox has been deluged with thirteen (count 'em!) whole pages of virtually nothing but yakking about Starbucks.

Too much caffeine, I think. You'd REALLY have to get all caffeined up just to wade through all that, uh, commentary.

Methinks they should just rename this Fray site as 'Starbucks' and start a new Moneybox.

You know, for the people who actually like to discuss ISSUES.

Leroy, What issues might be more important than the loss of one's favorite cup of joe?
I can think of one!

Nah, I was gonna say something about losing the basic rights and free enterprise of the Constitution; but who am I kidding?

Commenting on the possible collapse of civilization, Days says: there's a lot to be gained in the short run; the end of taxes for one.

LeRoy: As Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "Taxes are the price we pay for living in a civilized society."

For the most part, Republicans can't figure out what Oliver was saying....

oh they got him figured out, alright...

they understand clearly that he was speaking about the middle class...
Not The Grover Norquist Republicans!
by LeRoy_Was_Here

Grover Norquist is on record as saying he wants to shrink government down to where it is small enough that he can drown it in a bathtub.

Those kinds of Republicans are really anarchists, and we should ship them off to Somalia for at least a few months, so they can see how well they like a 'government' with no taxation at all.

No taxes in Somalia, though you do probably have to pay a lot of protection money, just to keep the warlords off your back.
