that's it, I am blocking WaPo as my

daily e-mail sender.

Fred Hiatt:

July 8: Good, Obama is willing to be flexible with his Iraq Plan, the Iraqis don't want it.

July 16: Obama's Iraq Plan is dangerously rigid and the Iraqis don't want it.

July 23: Obama's Iraq plan is dangerously flexible and the Iraqis' agreement with him is proof they don't want it.

And for the final dose of why Fred Hiatt is a war mongering dupe, today's kicker:

While the United States has an interest in preventing the resurgence of the Afghan Taliban, the country's strategic importance pales beside that of Iraq, which lies at the geopolitical center of the Middle East and contains some of the world's largest oil reserves.

Now we're down to the ol' imperial brass tacks of it you two-bit neo-con toady. Who cares about "terrorists" it's all about the oil.

Hmmm...

Fred astoundingly ridiculous spin sounds a lot like some of our fraycon posters.. most particulary HST!

Possibly the dumbest editorial ever written by a big city newspaper.

So Afghanistan 'pales in importance to the war' in Iraq! So 9/11 and American safety wasn't the point.

America's safety, quelling terrorism, is Wayyyyyy down the line. If at all.

No, terrorism threatens the free world's oil supply. NOT in Afghanistan but in the Sunni crescent...
Welcome to new age imperialism...

As for Hiatt:

"The reckless inexperience of Obama is now contained within the yawning gap between Obama's plan for 16th months and the Iraqis' plan for as long as 23 months."

Also Mr. Hiatt would do well to remember that while Iraq may have the raw materials in terms of oil, it has always been a top goal of Osama's gang to prevent the west from getting our hands on that oil.
