Just a general thank you . . .

. . . since I don't have time to reply to each message, to all who took the trouble to comment on my poem. The Fray performs a valuable service not only to readers who want to share their ideas with each other, but to the Tuesday poets, who learn what others made of what they wrote and thereby sharpen their sense of their relation to an audience.

My thoughts exactly.

I dunno, Mr. Breslin...around here on Tuesdays, sometimes it seems as if the quote should be "...and thereby sharpen their sense of their relation to the moat monsters"! (And I can be as toothsome a pleiosaur as any of them, if not the most clued-in of the lot.)

It says something when a Tuesday Poem provokes in me a loathing of the very idea of making a parody out of it. :) I liked this one, even though I had some definite reactions and wishes in response (as my review states). Unlike (IMO) a lot of Tuesday Poems, not only does it try to portray a serious theme, but it actually has the "chops" to pull the portrayal off. Sir, that's refreshing. We need more contributions like that.
