OMG

Just read that Bush's Department of Health and Human Services is drafting a proposal that would reclassify contraception as abortion.

104 members of Congress signed a letter to Bush to "halt all action on the proposal they argue would change the definition of abortion, and drastically limit women's access to birth control.

Look for more of these kind of evil moves by this lame duck administration.

They oppose contraception! These zealots are way out of touch with the American People.

If you went on the street and polled people,90% would oppose Bush's sneaky move.

right wing demagogues are becoming a rare species

one either has to ramp up the indoctrination process or increase the birth rate numbers.

Yes, they would oppose Bush's sneaky move, but you have to wonder why they would even attempt such a STUPID move.

Senators Clinton and Murray were the lead signers of the letter to Bush.

If you have a point, by all means make it.

oicu812 does have a point.

But it's on his head.

He knows full well that reclassifying contraception as abortion would mean that hospitals recieving Federal funds (I.E. submitting Medicare or Medicaid claims for instance) would be forced by statute to staff thier clinics with people opposed to both abortion and conraception, and empowered to undermine basic principles of family planning.

Which is the real Bush agenda.

IF you ever had any doubt about how radical and how backward these people are, this proposal should end all doubt.

We're going to see a lot of these extremist hail mary passes lobbed by the Bush ideologues in the final days.

A number of them will sneak by (Bush and the Republican leadership are very good at burying their agenda in process).

We'll spend the next couple of years weeding them out and fixing them, like exorcising computer virus's.

Well said. I agree with everything you said.

The Bushies will try anything to see if it sticks, but the American people are smarter than they are.

Re: OMG

Sorry, I don't know who to post a link.

Have you ever heard of GOOGLE?

I read it of progress@mx3.americanprogressaction.org or you could google the Charlotte Observer.

Don't be so lazy wmou.

Re: OMG

Well womu, we agree with you.

The idea is preposterous.

But unlike you wingnuts, we don't make this shit up, or parrot it because we heard some ex-disc jockey masquerading as a poltical pundit make it up.

We do fact check these things.

You think this is preposterous?

So do we!!!!

But this is Bushworld, where the preposterous has a life of its own.

You mean "the google", don't you?

Far right wing conseravtives like George Bush and womu don't use it.

Re: OMG

"The Google"

Cons don't need no stinking Google!

They learn everything they need to know from a flatulant voice coming out of their AM radio.

And sometimes it's even true!!!!!
