Fetal Separation
by fhunter

Pregnancy is a symbiotic relationship between the mother and fetus. The fetus is the parasite. Of course the vast majority of women are happily accepting this relationship. But the fetus is definitely not a separate human being.

This symbiotic relationship is not without grave danger to the mothers.

Nowadays, the rate of death by pregnancy in the USA is about 1 per 100,000 pregnancies. Just 90 years ago it was 1 per 100 pregnancies. In some countries are still 250 per 100,000 pregnancies.

Whatever the statistics, pregnancy is a serious risk to the life and health of pregnant women. It is not up to any legislator to force anyone to take this risk.

Well, that's funny. I survived my "risky" pregnancy just fine. The results were worth it.

stupid logic just because you did means that nobody else has problems .And it's irrelevant anyway .you made a choice then believe you can decide for others.,In this country you simply don't have any right at all to intefear.

Oh really? Well, his logic that "pregnancy is a dangerous condition" is foolish and a lie. Not all pregnancies are high-risk. Most aren't. My friends and I survived, thank you!

And if they hadn't survived, they wouldn't still be your friends would they? :)

As for "risk", high-risk in comparison to what? A third or so end with a C-Section.

Something which has one chance in three of requiring major surgery would (by definition) be pretty high risk by most standards. For example if I had a one-in-three chance of requiring major surgery every year I drove a car I'd find a different way to get around.

And this is before we consider all the other wonderful side effects (and risks) of Pregnancy.
