Paid 3.49 / gallon for gas

and for the second time.

Are the gasoline prices going down anywhere else?

I know the price of petroleum is plummeting, but I didn't expect the lower prices to hit the pumps this soon.

$4.43
by jpfc

down from $4.49 last week.

JP

I know what you mean.

...around here the price is still around $4.45/g...
by Figjam

...which is down about $0.10/g in the past couple weeks.

"Plummeting" is all relative - but how did this happen without sacrificing ANWAR and Off-shore sites? Could demand finally be effecting prices? Could the Fed's talk of increasing interest rates, how about the threat of regulatory oversight of energy trades? Probably all of the above, proving we don't need to sacrifice our wilderness and shoreline for oil...

$3.85 here Jen
by dadawg

two stations in a close city sold it last week for $3.58, the price they paid....................at delivery.....................

Making WE THE PEOPLE happy, who'd ever thought $3.50 gas could bring so much joy:)o

yes, that is the liberal red herring...
by jpfc

so what about further down the line when we need that oil, and we're 5-10 years off from getting it.

JP

he, he, he, sacrificing widerness. You libs are a riot. I guess you don't care about countries with little or no environmental oversight like Venuzuela, Nigeria, Brazil, Mexico, and Angola, despoiling rain forest and their continental sea shelf, as long as you can use their oil to drive up the coast without something ruining your view.

Yes way down from $4.19 ten days ago...

Plummeting prices?

$3.95 this morning
by leilaniMP

I wouldn't be surprised if they go back up again, though.

Hey Jen!

:-)

The price of a barrel of oil is considerably down from what it was......... the word used was "plummeting" but I don't know the numbers (you know how the media likes to use words like that).

I haven't had to pay over 3.95 per gallon....... and I'm glad of that.

...the con closed mindset...

...consume, consume, consume. bush's answer to 9/11 - 'merka, go shopping - idiot...

How about a comprehensive energy policy that will address new technologies and conservation? Ever consider that as an option?

Wonder why that's happening?

Are we using less? Has the dollar suddenly gotten some strength or are we being manipulated again?

$3.89, down from $4.09 last week. Dollar stronger, speculative premiums unwinding. Expect a gas spike if Dolly hits the Valero refinery in Corpus.

Probably... we are being manipulated. That'd be my guess.

I, personally, am using less, though.........but traffic indicates others are still driving like crazy.

Yep, MP...........I'm sure it's just temporary.

Hey, MP...

All three. It's an election year.
