by mookex

........really now, are there any true "conservative" fraycons out there who think that Juan McCong would even try to push a traditional GOP agenda if he does happen to stumble into office??

Ha!.......as IF, eh?

Not a fucking thing. Which is why I'll probably stay home, throw some popcorn in the microwave and laugh my ass off as clueless Republicans lose again.

Reagan wasn't a conservative, but McCain might be.

As for GOP gain, very little. The next four years will be a disaster and the GOP is better off losing to Barry so he gets blamed for everything, then coming back in '12 with Jeb or the Newter. Dems are better off losing to McCain and coming back in '12 with Gore or Webb, as Obama gets slaughtered in '12 and gives the Republicans Rove's permanent majority, starting with taking back the House in '10. We'ld see Crybaby Boner as Speaker.

so what would the GOP gain by a McCong win?

....try to pay attention pookie, you didn't answer the question;)
No.

As a conservative, I would say we have more to gain from an Obama win than a McCain win.

If Obama wins, and it appears he will, he'll get a Democrat Congress and a blank check. His stated fiscal policies include huge tax increases, huge increases in government entitlements and no deficit reductions.

Four years of that will, hopefully, sour Americans on liberal spending policies and a true, fiscal conservative could arise from the ashes of the Republican party to lead us back to economic stability.

A McCain win, on the other hand, would be a stop-gap measure to keep the aforementioned Democrat Congress from spending tax money like water. Provided he kept his promise about cutting wasteful spending and swift vetos of pork-laden bills.

But, in the end, an exciting, vigorous young man with an outlook we haven't seen in a while (regardless of his lack of experience) will kill a tired old man with the same-old, same-old mindset.

So, to all my fellow Conservatives I say "Hang on..it's going to be a bumpy ride."

They'll avoid

further embarrassment. So one is needed to cover up bush's crime spree.

Mac's the man for that plan.

Ha!....I didn't laugh til you went there Kemu Sabe;)

I've played the "better off losing" game for two elections straight with some success (witnessed total GOP failure on the second round;)....no sense in mook over playing a "winning" streak damn it;)

.....figure we're in for some big shifts and some real surprises from BHO if he is elected...."Barry" grows on ya afterwhile, eh?

.....I am not and never will be a "hopehead" but the guy is running like a winner @ this juncture & I like that;)

"I've played the "better off losing" game for two elections straight with some success (witnessed total GOP failure on the second round;)....no sense in mook over playing a "winning" streak damn it;)"

I have never voted for the winning candidate for president, beggining with McGovern in '72, then Ford '76, some libertarian in '80, Mondale in '84, Dukakis '88, Perot '92 and '96, then Gore and Kerry. My voting for McCain may guanantee Barry's win and I can live with.

Might be entertaining, at the end of the oath of office, for Obama to yell "True Dat!" and break into the Cabbage Patch dance up on the stage. Wonder if he'll rap his inaugural address :)?

Still looking forward to '12. If Jeb runs against Barry I promise to vote Obama.

Ha!...."spending tax money like water"
by mookex

.....you might wanna check the well, "conservative" AWOL GWB/GOP have it pretty well tapped out, eh?

....personally I think GOP total failure we have all witnessed will either create a better GOP @ some point in time or put the GOP in the ground for good making room for a rational conservative party

More pathetic whining from you we see. Tough to see Shrillary lose wasn't it?

No chance Obama will be a one-termer. He'll be as popular as Bill Clinton.. hide-n-watch.

Now go to Hillary.com and send her another $5 to pay down that campaign debt!

You're becoming borderline racist.. suggest reeling that in.

"More pathetic whining from you we see. Tough to see Shrillary lose wasn't it?"

It was. Between her and Barry she was the better man, but I underestimated Clinton hate.

"No chance Obama will be a one-termer."

More a matter of the times than the man. Carter wasn't a bad president, just overwhelmed by events beyond his abilities. I see Barry getting swamped by the inflation his senate votes helped create and commodities sailing off to unimaginable levels as deficits keep growing.

"He'll be as popular as Bill Clinton.."

I doubt it, simply because he's not as smart as St. Bill, not as well educated, nowhere near the experience, and Clinton had the great advantage of Big George laying the foundation for the strong Dollar expansion with his own tax increase. Obama starts out in a much deeper hole with two hot wars and a $700 billion deficit. Not sure even St. Bill could get out of that.

You mean I'm joining Je$$e? At least I didn't call Barry a nigger and suggest castrating him.
