Really who is to know what the truth is
by AlwaysS
People just read your bible and search for the truth yourself. How can you allow another imperfect human being to interpret the bible for you?

Good question.... Here's the answer. The Scriptures themselves... there are identiying features. Neutrality being one... Think about this, Christ taught his disciples to go out into all the world teaching what he had taught them, and baptizing into the congregation. That meant that they had to be organized to be sure of unity. The Scriptures also teach that this unity would be lost for a time (lengthy) but be restored in the Last Days... This is due to the fact that this is the basis for survival, Knowing and remaining Faithful to what Jesus Christ taught in the first century, not the mess that "Chritianity" teaches today. Read and meditate on 2 Cor 11:12-15, I did at length when I studied 33 years ago. Make it a matter of prayer.

Now how do I know that those scriptures are not talking about you all?

I have a few questions,

Why does anyone get batized before 30? Thats how old Jesus was when he got baptized, isn't it?

What if it's FIGURATIVE neutrality? What if it's a FIGURATIVE congregation?

Anyways, did Jesus knock on others doors or did he teach the ones that CAME TO HIM? I forget. ( I am not being sarcastic - really want to know)

Very, very few are politically neutral throughout the world. Make the search...........

Yes, the early disciples did go to from door to door and shared the Good News wherever anyone would listen...Read your Bible... and How can you 'figuratively' love your Brother and then actually kill him????????????????
Re: Really who is to know what the truth is

Dear Sir or Mam: what does that have to do with 2Corinthians 11:12-15?
Re: Really who is to know what the truth is

Actually, I am against killing. I see what your saying.

What exactly is the "pretext" he was talking about? And who is speaking here?

Re: Really who is to know what the truth is

As always, can never get a straight answer. Like I said before, please read the bible for yourself and pray for understanding because clearly these people don't have the answers.

I do not understand your post your either here or there. Are you interested in being a part of Jehovahs organization or not? In some post you defend JW and in others you bash. Whether you want to be a witness or not since you state you read the bible here is a scripture for you Matt 7:1 “Stop judging that YOU may not be judged; 2 for with what judgment YOU are judging, YOU will be judged; and with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU. 3 Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the rafter in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Allow me to extract the straw from your eye’; when, look! a rafter is in your own eye?

More of this stuff huh? OK.

Advocate says the mess that Christianity teaches today. This is s seriously funny statement. Probably coming from a JW who either has never been to a Church ever, or who thinks he knows Churches based on what he's taught. Well, let me fill you in.

The mess that Christianity teaches is: Salvation, Love, Hope, Faith, Compassion, Perseverance, Giving.

Wow, what a mess, huh. What Advocate said is, Truly something Satan would say about Christianity.

And,.. and How can you 'figuratively' love your Brother and then actually kill him????????????????

Just who are you talking about anyway? Do you know anyone like this my friend?

The way they think and talk is something else.

Cat, I am going to go with probably 'stumbled, hurt, and disappointed'.

brogan, I'm actually quoting Jesus not Satan I think you need to do some research but it sounds like one of those who needs a church or religion I'll do it my way------sorry that only exist at Burger King not in Gods Kingdom. If love, salvation, faith...is a mess then I want to be apart of that mess....

You are a thinking person and we appreciate people who ask such questions. When it comes to the truth about the Bible note what Jesus said at John 17:17, "Your word is truth". The King James says in the same book "thy word is truth." Truth does not get modernize, it does not become obsolete, it changes for no one. Some one had to show me the truth as Jesus taught his disciples they in turn taught others. The Bible is not a book that is written in subject form but you must be able to search the scriptures. In a thoroughly and orderly way my questions about "who is God, why do we grow old and die, and etc. were answered by imperfect persons. They showed me from God's Word and I no longer parrot what my minister told me but I can share it from anyone's Bible. See many people go to some form of religious service and cannot even tell you what was said only the music was good. But are they learning from God's Word the Bible. Many persons do not know God has a personal name.(Jehovah the English translation other countries use Jehova, Geova and etc.) Many ministers who were trained in a seminary school were taught it but refuses to use it. It is also found in dictionaries and encylclopedias. Yes thet ruth can be obtained, you have to be actually seeking it and praying for God's spirit to help you to find it. Because once you find the truth, as we have, no longer are we enslaved to false teachings and you are able to discern what is true and what is false.

Note what Jesus promises at John 8:31,32 and keep in mind what John recorded at 17:17. Jesus matter of factly implied God's Word the Bible is true, was then, is now! It's upto us to come to an acceptance of its benefits. Isa 48:17,18.

"When it comes to the truth about the Bible note what Jesus said at John 17:17, "Your word is truth"."

Good response (above), infodope! Of course, that was the first scripture I thought of when I read the title of this thread.

To God-fearing Christians, the Bible (and ONLY the Bible) is the correct source of truth. For those without faith, who wish to be free of guidance by our Creator, their "truth" is whatever they choose it to be.
