Who's the puppet master?
by nyecop

McCain slams Obama for not having been to the Afghanistan and Iraq for a long time. Where is Obama now? You guessed it the Mid-East. Next pull of the strings and McCain will have Obama in town hall debates. With 3 months to go before the November elections McCain has more than enough time to maneuver Obama into showing is political inexperience even further.

Obama will tell us he is there because he cares. Strange that he seemed to have no interest in going there until McCain slammed him for not doing so, isn't it? What will be even more interesting is how many of McCain's ideas are suddenly Obama's ideas should he become POTUS. To be fair if it is in the best interests of the country I would have to problems with that from either McCain or Obama, but I believe we are more likely to see it from McCain than Obama. I believe this because Obama has demonstrated that he doesn't want to offend his party for any reason, while McCain has demonstrated over the past 22 years that he really doesn't care what either party thinks.

Too bad mc cain is not white; because he would be a shoe-in for president. I mean if people are voting / supporting a non-experienced or seasoned no name politician like obama, then you know its all about color and not credentials.

McCain isn't white??? I had no idea!

If experience is so important, why did the Republican party choose Bush over McCain in 2000, hmmm? I'd love to know, because McCain was far more qualified, had far more military experience, etc. Yet the Repubs went for the "Obama" type that year--more likeable, more charismatic, less experienced. So why have you changed your mind about the type of candidate you're looking for? I'd like to think you learned your lesson last time around, but that would probably be giving someone like redleopard way too much credit.

The fact is, you prefer McCain because he's a Republican and you are too. Big deal. That's pretty much the same reason a lot of democrats like Obama. What's the big mystery here? It's not rocket science. All you're really doing here is giving away the fact that you're reeeeally nervous Obama is going to win in November.

redleopard must have been off his meds at the time he wrote that post, I'll give you that.

The fact is everyone is too hung up on political parties and less interested in what is best for the country. My original post was mostly in jest pointing out that the more McCain accuses Obama of doing or not doing something the more determined he seems to be to prove McCain wrong, regardless of what it makes him look like.

Republican, Democrat, Independent or horse's ass party I don't really care as long as the next POTUS does the best possible job for our country.

I personally don't believe that Obama is that person. However I would be very happy to be proved wrong as long as the country as a whole and the people in it reaped the benefits.

Well like I have always said; most americans are nothing more than sheeple who blah & bleat about being so brave, individualistic, and the rest of the faux bravado hot air that they like to dramatize about. In reality though; they are just sheep, hoping that the "Big Bad Wolf" doesn't get them.

redleopard, you're too much. I'd like to think it's nothing a hug from your mommy and a nice hot cup of cocoa (with marshmallows) couldn't cure. Josef Stalin was basically a nice boy too; just a little misunderstood.

Well, that certainly does explain the last 8 years.
