a garden...................Hyde County, NC...........25.000 acres of green beans, is where your green beans come from, more than likely...................not the green beans from MY garden, that get daily attention/water/side-dressing.­.............

NOPE, your green beans are planted, harvested, shipped up north, blanched, frozen, tasteless beans............with enough sodium added, to kill ya ass...........................­.

until you raise a garden, or eat from mine, you don't really know what REAL green beans taste like...............

That's just about my favorite thing.......new taters and fresh grown green beans. I ate that all the time as a kid......

OMG---Jen, while in the garden, it's huge, my lil' grape maters, OMG, it's like picking strawberries/blackberries, I eat one, pick one.................WOW.......­.....

I've had some vine-rot, but, lime fixed that problem.......my squash, well, me and half da neighborhood, frying/stewing squash.........

OH, my sweet corn came in also this week, I got enough sweet corn, to feed two neighborhoods..............pic­ked'em, shucked'em, blanched'em, quick cooled'em, froze'em...........

Okra next comin'.................when winter arrives, I'll add venison, with my veggies............

Hmmm... we used to always pair new potatoes with peas. Yum.... fresh sweet peas are great, though you do have to shuck them.

planted'em a bit late this year, but, soon, they also will be ready.........................

I have sweet peas at least three times weekly............I love'em.................

blackberries bout done for the summer, BUT, I have four gallon's in the freezer, for later fall...................
