I seem to recall most rightwingnuts justify the Kerry

swiftboating all but universally on the basis of his having introduced his veteran status into the campaign.

Had their attacks been based upon the Navy record, they'd have never gotten off the ground, much less influenced so many gullible and ignorant rightwingnuts to the extent that it certainly did.

So what is being used unfairly to besmirch McSame? If it comes from that same Navy record, or outta his mouth or book, it's fair game for the same reason it was to attack Kerry's military record---- because he's made it a big part of his campaign.

The idea that only the good can be examined and judged, and not that which offsets whatever points he can get for that good, is totally unfair and ridiculous--- and especially from the rightwingnut "Swiftboater" fans.

This isn't "swiftboating" him as was done to Kerry, it's judging him on the TOTALITY of his military record that he introduced into evidence.

Given his McSameness, this is the ONLY thing this clown has going for him, which is precisely why he and his goons reacted to Clark's recent words on his being shot down and captured in the way that they did---- his record must remain sterling, no matter how many things there are in it that tarnish it.

Given the recent studies done on the effects of torture, if anything his enduring years of it should raise questions of mental competence and fitness for the job--- and all the "you're swiftboating" him BS does nothing to either rebut much less diminish the concerns that are attached to those charges.

I'd bet some psycho-analysis would reveal that his many and well known Mt Vesuvias imitations and his torture experiences are related. This is also why he's still a racist/bigot, and refers to them as "gooks".

What's next, it's okay too that he's a racist, that objective examination of his attitude towards them MUST validate?

Well, you're pretty much right on

LOL!

I always respected Kerry's service, still do. I don't necessarily agree with the things he said about his fellow soldiers but that's between them. If other vets were hurt by it, it's their right to feel that way.

I really don't understand where the conflict is on this.

As long as nobody's lying about or distorting his record as compared to the undisputed records available, I'd say it's fair game.

That was the swiftboaters sin--- trying to change the record in a he said/she said way decades after it was in the Navy record.

Examining and judging his official Navy record (which is difficult to do, given so much of it has yet to be released as I recall) and what he's offered up personally isn't outta line.

My main problem was not McSame, though I believe the apraisal of him to be unfair as well, my concern was the comments about all POW's.

I understand that, however as jiffy-poop above you makes clear with the product of his rather pathetic reading comp problems--- many/most rightwingnuts are looking upon any and all attacks on his military records as jiffy-poop said--- a "they did it too" thingy, which isn't what this post was about at all.

It was all about the fact that most attacks I've seen on McSame's MR have been nothing like those Kerry suffered through with the swiftboat campaign.

The Bushieheads were trash, just as the Hopehead Swifty types are. Not surprised that the board crack whore would make excuses for dishonorable behavior.
Sorry David Duke

that assumes their conduct is identical, and you've yet to establish that they are, or that there is anything dishonest or unethical, much less "dishonorable", in using ALL of McSame's publicly accessable records.

no wonder you have "dehawg" as your BFF--- you're a fucking idiot too.
