I seem to recall most rightwingnuts justify the Kerry

swiftboating all but universally on the basis of his having introduced his veteran status into the campaign.
Had their attacks been based upon the Navy record, they'd have never gotten off the ground, much less influenced so many gullible and ignorant rightwingnuts to the extent that it certainly did.
So what is being used unfairly to besmirch McSame? If it comes from that same Navy record, or outta his mouth or book, it's fair game for the same reason it was to attack Kerry's military record---- because he's made it a big part of his campaign.
The idea that only the good can be examined and judged, and not that which offsets whatever points he can get for that good, is totally unfair and ridiculous--- and especially from the rightwingnut "Swiftboater" fans.
This isn't "swiftboating" him as was done to Kerry, it's judging him on the TOTALITY of his military record that he introduced into evidence.
Given his McSameness, this is the ONLY thing this clown has going for him, which is precisely why he and his goons reacted to Clark's recent words on his being shot down and captured in the way that they did---- his record must remain sterling, no matter how many things there are in it that tarnish it.
Given the recent studies done on the effects of torture, if anything his enduring years of it should raise questions of mental competence and fitness for the job--- and all the "you're swiftboating" him BS does nothing to either rebut much less diminish the concerns that are attached to those charges.
I'd bet some psycho-analysis would reveal that his many and well known Mt Vesuvias imitations and his torture experiences are related. This is also why he's still a racist/bigot, and refers to them as "gooks".
What's next, it's okay too that he's a racist, that objective examination of his attitude towards them MUST validate?
