draw your conclusions
by AlNeri

If you don't want civilians harmed, don't send the military. cf WWII.

Perhaps there should be a Namby Pamby Corp to change "hearts and minds".

Well, that's just the problem, isn't it? Our military is expert at being lethal, at bringing overwhelming force. They did the job they were trained to do within the first couple of weeks of the war, and they did that job very well.

No one in our military was trained as a true peackeeping force first and foremost, and I'd wager that isn't what any of them though of themselves when they joined.

Namby pamby huh? It's not bad enough that we invaded a country and stand to leave them worse off than we found them under Saddam. Now you have to make fun at attempts to be diplomatic with them as well?

Not sending the military would have been a very good decision.

A Namby Pamby Corp would probably have been more effective.

Only if Obama decides we have to abandon them in 16 months after he takes office.
