I think they will be cheering him when he tells them that they have done all we've asked and now they can go home. No more three or four tours of duty, no more worrying about IEDs, go back home to your regular life. That ought to get him a standing ovation.

But Obama's not sending them home. He's sending them to Afghanistan.

He's not going to have a ten minute parade in the market place surrounded by 100 troops and a battalion of attack helicopters?

have to visit Iraq in secret (remember how little george had to have all the window shades on Air Force One pulled down so there was no target when he landed in the dead of the night?) and have to have heavy armoured gunships accompany them wherever they go like McCain, but when Ahmadinejhad came to visit (technically, Iran is still at war with Iraq!) he announced the visit way in advance and then stayed at an unguarded hotel and visited the neighborhoods pretty freely?

Maybe we should ask the Iranians how they do that.....

to Jammer. I am not even sure what you mean by send them to Afghanistan. Aren't we already in Afghanistan? Wasn't that where the 9/11 attack came from? Weren't we supposed to find bin Laden dead or alive? What happened to that? I thought little george promised us that would be the first priority - or did he say he didn't care much about bin Laden?
