Okay again, TB, but
by JUST_IN_CASE
+1 Reply

has your American life ever been put on the line? Just curious. If it was would you be so willing to sacrifice it for the sake of everyone else? Other than paying taxes, what else have you ever did for your country, or do you recall of Kennedy saying, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." There are posters on these boards who have paid dearly for your right to express your views. Have you ever paused once to say "thanks" to any of them?

Gramps: The answer to his question is that he never has. Judging by his comments, he will never change because he has his head so far up GW's butt that it doesn't matter to him. Doesn't live here but is an expert on everything that occurs here as well as over there, but sure insults a lot of, what I consider, good posters.

That is a lot of pain that I am seeing locally but of course I live here. He doesn't

I know that I have grown a little pugnacious, lately, for that I apologize to people here that I consider smart and decent. You, Knot, Sea, and many others(sorry if I did not list you) are good people and see the truth.

I just find myself getting angry toward people that don't have any willingness to listen to the "other person" and maybe, just maybe, will look at "true facts" and maybe think there is another way. I post Nam as a lesson.

Take care Gramps and have a good weekend you "magnificant bastard-I read your book!"-Remember that line! :-) And I did read yours.

God Bless Ya.

Never forget the "ignore" button, Cherokee (and Gramps).

It's the most reliable weapon to neutralize the kind of people you are talking about.

And just because I hardly ever post anything anymore, don't you think for a minute that I ever miss anything you, Gramps, Knots, Masterjay & the rest of the "good guys" gang post on this board.

I am ever so grateful that you guys have the time and stamina I lack.

Please don' t apologize for the frustrations caused to you by troglodites.

Stay well (and.. love the little one)

You are a class act, Cochi, you always have been!

My best to you and yours!

Gramps, it's more than obvious that TB is one of those little cowards who hides from his own shadow--one of Bush's little lemings who swallow his line of pure crap. Like Bush, he would no sooner put his life on the line than fly to the moon unassisted.

He's a pathetic little creature and an insult to those who have served.

Gramps.I am quite sure you were asking a simple question. One that TB would be happy to answer

As you can see the answers degenerated into personal attacks..

For people, who supposedly got what they wanted during the primaries, they certainly remain vindictive.

Many of us have tried to stop personal attacks and let go of the past. You can see who is keeping the anger alive.

Wilson is a well respected business man in Cozumal. He did not get there by being the names he is called in this thread.

He and I have disagreed many times, but to his credit he apologized when he knew he went to far.

He does have a right to disagree.I have seen too many driven off this board because of the vindictiveness of a few. It is time to quit acting like children and discuss things.

Accusing a person of taking drugs, calling them cowardly, having their head up somones butt is not adding a thing to the board. Just because they disagree is not reason enough.

Now,watch them come back and say,"They were just giving their side." No,you are just being vindictive.

Not in a military sense, but I helped the Texas Department of Public Safety in getting a group of Mexicans to carry some kilos of Mexican Brown Heroine into El Paso for a take down.

I was a senior officer in a bank that was robbed two times; once holding me at point-blank gun point.

So in a sense I have had my life on the line. Once I consider in service to the general public good; in the bank it was just my job to be there when these robberies took place. I didn't volunteer like our military does today.

That's a point in favor of this also. Nobody is being drafted and sent into a war they bitterly oppose. The opposite is true and many people are reenlising knowing they will do more tours in Iraq or Afghanistan, so if you point is that we are forcing men to put their lives on the line, I disagree with you.

Cherokee is simply stuck in Viet Nam. I've never read a post that wasn't related to his service in Viet Nam and what hell he has been through. You would thin he was the sole survivor of the Viet Nam War. Geeze.

You apparently don't follow your own advice. Another "bullshitter".

The only thing "obvious" is that you are a bitter, small minded little person.

Is Viet Nam the only experience in your entire adult life? That's all we know about you. Viet Nam, Viet Nam, Viet Nam. Crawl out of your fox-hole amigo, you Stateside again. There is a whole new world out there.

I wonder how many? I wonder if it's more than the people who thought they were coming home getting their tours extended? And you forgot to mention the signing bonuses. Money is enough of an inducement for some.

The reenlistment bonuses aren't an Iraq war phenomenon; they have been in existance for decades. Wonder in one hand and shit in the other; see which fills fastest.

You Got To Be Kidding Me Right?

Don't like Nam adventures, tough, don't open my posts. Ever heard of the term "redux"?-Study Latin and see what the word means.

Try Viet Nam "Redux". The same shit that is happening now is happening again but in a different way. Remember this? <link> . Well it was all over the place and a Lt. took the brunt of the event and the American people took notice and raised hell!

Now we routinely blow up wedding parties, decimate a city (Falluja) not just villages, and that's okay, nobody raises hell? It's murder-plain and simple!

It's because many of you have become immune to other's suffering and there is no draft that may affect you or others you know. It's shameful.

As to personal attacks, MA. You are something else. I have always been polite to you, but since your queen seemingly may have lost the nomination, you are becoming close to the Neo-Con profile you once disdained. I told you once that I would vote for either one, as long as it wasn't McBush.

So you went on to extol the virtues of TB (Wilson), who in my opinion is an AH. Who is the clown that calls Loree a "Looney", calls Arkady " a shit and a drunk" when he was down in Mexico and questions his work ethics?, and belittles others like Shirley and others? Spare me the indignation. Didn't you visit his fine establishment? Might be jaded now-eh?

If you don't like Nam, as I and others post, don't read it! Don't learn!

Hi Cherokee....hope things are going better now, than last time we talked.

On behalf of setting the record straight, MA never went to Old Mexico...it was another poster...OH! And it wasn't me nor Shirley, either:-)

I want to thank you though, for taking on the right wing the way you did...putting them in their place isn't always easy, and usually, after they sulk a bit, they come rip-roaring back, with nothing changed...either in their thinking OR in their habits. It's a case of 'some things just never change!' :-)

When you can, send an e-mail IF you can...I know you are really busy.

I have a few tidbits to let you and S in on, about what's happening here at my house. One thing about it, I have to mend MY ways, if I want to be around for the election:-) I'll fill you in on all of it. Give S a hug for me.
