Obamas' "Patriotism"
by Timothy L. Pennell
+1 Reply
Ever notice, that EVERY election cycle, the Democrat has to go out of his, or her way, to tell us how 'Patriotic' they are. The Republican never does this. Only the Democrat. Now, why do you suppose that is? Could it be, that the Democrat is ALWAYS trashing this country? Could it be, that the Democrat Party has spent more time crying the blues for the wat WE treat people who want to KILL US, and DESTROY our way of life, than they do supporting our troops, and our WAR EFFORT? Have you EVER heard Obama recommend the ARMED FORCES, as a good career choice? He wants everyone to be "Socially Active". Does anyone believe that he wants ANYONE to be ACTIVE DUTY? WHO'S his buddy? Who did he go to, on bended knee, when he decided he wanted to be a street hustler for the most crooked bunch of politicos-(The Chicago Democrat Machine)-in the country? Unrepentent TERRORIST, William Ayers. He's the guy that BOMBED the PENTAGON. How about sitting for 20 years listening to that Black Liberation Theology GARBAGE? Is that patriotism, Barry? "No , no, no. Not God Bless America. GOD DAMN AMERICA." Didn't he say that he DIDN'T wear his lapel pin BECAUSE there were OTHER WAYS to be patriotic? Somebody, please, tell me his, or ANY DEMOCRATS' PLAN for WINNING the War against Radical Islamist MURDERERS. What has this PUNK EVER DONE that was PRO this country? NOTHING. And he never will. I don't question his patriotism. I already KNOW that he DOESN'T HAVE ANY.

For some reason we have morons like you who buy the republican bullshit...hook, line and sinker. Is Rush "the boil on my ass" Limbaugh a patriot? He couldn't serve in the miltiary because of a cyst, but he can sit for hours and babble on about things that he knows are false and doesn't have any problems with his fat ass....is that because of the meds?

We have Dick "5 deferrments" Cheney, who had other priorities than service to his country.

The best you guys could come up with for a president was a guy who couldn't obey orders to get a physical and lost his flight certificate as a result. A pilot who served in a guard postal unit....so he could help with a political campaign. Is that your idea of patriotism? Bush is the only politician I've ever heard of who personally profited from the use of emminent domain to steal land that belonged to someone else.

Bush has weakend our country by invading Iraq. He failed to destroy Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and has allowed the terrorists to become stronger there. He has allowed them to destabilize Pakistan and brought the terrorists closer to having a nuclear weapon as a result.

Ayers is not Obama's friend and is only a casual acquantance. He has never been convicted of a crime. Wright served in the marine corps and, in my opinion, has every right to his first amendment right to free speech. The problem with him is that he fails to see that we have made progress since the days of the Tuskegee experiments and lynchings....

Lapel pins.....I don't wear one, do you? I didn't wear one for the 3 years I was in the Navy either. Dick Cheney wears one (sometimes) but couldn't take time to wear a uniform when we were at war.

Obamas's patriotism. They found it lying on the closet floor somewhere.

You are right, wearing flag pins does not make you a patriot.

However, since Obama feels strong enough about what his pastor was preaching to leave the church (at least for now) for the sake of appearances (it is difficult to claim he just now had an epiphany about the church) and the run for the presidency, you will have to work overtime to explain why Obama wouldn't follow the usual and customary signs of respect for flag and country.

While you are doing your 24/7 spin for Obama, tell us again what he HAS done as an expression of patriotism. After his misogynous treatment of the female reporter, maybe you can tell us how dilligently he has worked for equality, huh, Sweetie?

You just need faith in the future of change.

Like Rezko.

Like real estate deals.

Like Rev Wright.

Like putting women back in the kitchen instead of being reporters.

Like Pfleger

Like Ayers

Change?

Does look like it to me.

Career choice.

And that would be patriotism?

I'm suddenly reminded of something George Carlin said. <link>

Sad, Sad

That you take your philosophy of life from a stand up comic.

"I'm suddenly reminded of something George Carlin said."

Help us out. How does a stand up comics routine about life have anything to do with patriotism.

Side bar on George Carlin:

Famous quotes:

God is dead. - Nitzche

Nitzche is dead. - God

Who won?

Yuk, yuk. Sweetie is a sign of misogyny....like McCain calling someone an asshole is how he would reach across the aisle (or calling his wife a cunt is how he shows respect for women).

While you are doing your 24/7 spin for McCain, perhaps you can tell me what skills he learned as a POW that would be of value as president.

While you are at it you could explain just how important it is that you put your hand over your heart....and why is it that so few people do. Could it be that it is not commonly known to perform that simple act when the national anthem is sung? I didn't know until this most useless of conversations about Obama's mortal sin....

So the country can go to hell, we can lose thousands of soldiers and spend trillions of dollars that we have to borrow from a potential enemy nation.....as long as the president knows to put his hand on his heart? Is that where your priorities are?

What had George W. Bush done as an expression of patriotism or is that a requirement you guys just thought of for this election?

Doesn't look like it to you? Guess that really doesn't matter, since Obama will become president without your help.

Re: Sad, Sad

Obama's plan is to increase the army by 65,000 and the marines by 27,000.

So much for the bullshit that Obama wouldn't recomment military service.

Tell me again about Cheney's priorities.

My philosophy of life from a comic? Where did I say that?

What I was referring to was the part about conservatives suddenly being interested in you again when you reach military age. Lay that against the "criticism" that Obama wasn't out recruiting for the US Army and see what happens...

Personally, I think it must have been an extreme character-building experience. If the last eight years has taught us anything, hopefully it's that character is very important in a President. However, the McCain I might have voted for (if I could vote, anyway) is long gone, replaced by some kind of clone. I think I once saw the control device in Joe Lieberman's pocket.

And, of course, I think Obama has character in spades, too.

You see there are many out there like Bush and his supporters who want to enjoy the fruits of citizenship without tending to the tree of liberty. They as the poet said want to Eat from orchards they did not plant, drink from wells they did not dig, reap from fields they did not sow, be warmed by fires they did not kindle, be sheltered by roofs they did not build, and be blessed by moneys they did not give. Instead of being thankful for the blessings they enjoy by being a citizen, they want to know what the nation can do for them. I

Then you have the other side of the coin, there are those of us who support the nation when right, and when wrong support it by working to change things. That is the sign of a true patriot.

Yuk, yuk. Apparently your dictionary defines misogyny differently from everyone else's.

It is also apparent that you cannot defend any of Obama's beliefs or deeds.

While you may or may not agree with the war in Iraq and it may or may not have been the best option in the war on terrorism, it was at least a positive action. Too many libs wait for someone else to do something, so they can second guess and whine about what was done. Obama doesn't have a plan for the war on terrorism other than sitting down unconditionally with them. Otherwise, all he does is protests against Bush, McCain and any one else who actually does something.

Umm. George Carlin is not a leader in either political science nor in philosophy. I believe he never even finished high school. While he is funny as a comedian in both the political and non-political realm (his act on air travel is hilarious), I don't use him as you did as an authority on anything except maybe humor.

"What I was referring to was the part about conservatives suddenly being interested in you again when you reach military age. Lay that against the "criticism" that Obama wasn't out recruiting for the US Army and see what happens..."

I am glad you clarified this otherwise nobody else would have known what point you were trying to make from Carlin's spiel.
