Obama's trip must have set off alarm bells at RNC HQ-
by Reptilicus

With the talking points already flooding the blogs....

Only one explanation....they're scared it's going to "work".

See, Mac Daddy has a lead in only one issue "national security/foreign policy"...that's it. Economy, health care, etc.....trails Obama.

So, if Obama returns from a successful tour of Europe and the ME...tht cuts into that issue.

Soooooooooooooooo....the e-mails and faxes started flying with talking points on "The Media is in bed with him" and "How's he paying for it?" in the HOPE (haha, there's that word again) that it can blunt it.

But it isn't going to work...especially if Obama can return with some serious discussion and some world leaders OPPOSING the "McCain Doctrine" (How does Maverick "gather world leaders and allies"...if they just told Obama they don't agree with McCain but with him?)

So...watch for the panic to continue through this week.

You make excellent points. Old Abe is going to be out maneuvered on every issue.

World leaders aren't idiots. They aren't going to say anything about Obama except that they respect him, and will be happy to work with him if he wins the election. Why would they say anything else? If they say that they like him better than McCain, they risk isolating themselves if McCain wins. If they claim to be more comfortable with McCain, then they're hurting if Obama wins.

It is nice, though, that less than six months before Obama hopes to become the leader of the free world, he's finally getting around to seeing it. He's likely very surprised that there's a world outside of Indonesia, Africa and America.

calling Obama a pansy because he wasn't going to make the trip.

Go figure...

Problem with your theory, Fax...

If McCain wins...he needs THEM, they don't need him. Since essentially he's just promising more of the same as Bush, and they've rejected him.

So why not help Obama? If it does work, they get a saner US leader. If it doesn't, McCain still comes, hat in hand, to them.

Of Obama doing as he's told. The GOP says he should go see Iraq for himself, and he does. Hillary's supporters demand he pick her for VP, and he will. the GOP demands he leave his life-long church, and he does. Obama has no spine.
Why wouldn't they
by partizan
They sat on the sidelines and ended up with bush just like the rest of us. So why not try to influence the US elections for the sake of their own people.

If people like bin Laden support him for president, that's bad news for this country.

They are hoping that people are ignorant enough to believe that if Obama is elected they will place flowers in the barrells of their guns, sit around a campfire and settle thing diplomatically.

bin Laden knows that if Obama is elected, the heat on his activities gets turned way down and he will be able to regroup to come back and hit us just as hard or harder.

On the other side of the coin, the only thing that McCain has going for him is that we will keep pursuing bin Laden and keep him on the run.

Propaganda

Libs insist that the rest of the world hates Bush, yet it's the leftists in Europe whose governments have colapsed and who've been replaced by pro-American leaders. In France, Germany, Italy, Greece, all over Northern Europe, and don't forget that the Eastern Europeans never turned on us in the first place -- you have no idea what you're talking about. Turn off Air America and The Daily Show.

Or he playing you guys like a fiddle. Readjusting ever so slightly that you are hard pressed to find anything to throw at him. Pretty soon he be dodging your slime so fast that what every you gather up will be stale by the time you throw it at him.

Ever hear of reverse psychology. I'm certain the terrorists support Obama because they fear him mightily. On the other hand, the Muslims I know who live in America and can vote are all supporting McCain. That should tell you something.

They love us. You hate us. You'd like us to believe that they are on your side, but they are electing leaders who sound more like us. Go figure.
That's an interesting way to look at it
by FaxMeBeer

Kerry tried that, he came out looking like a waffling flip flopper without a spine and with no convictions. Obama has a tenth of the experience in the game as Kerry did, what makes you think he's divined a better method of dealing with it?

In the end, the worst attacks on Obama can be found at his own website.

Re: Propaganda

They laugh at bush and ignore him. The people of those countries did what they did for their own reasons. And you can be assured it was not because they wanted a dumbya of their own.

And the Eastern Europeans just wanted someone they figured would be able to stand up to the Russia the scorned. Well not that dummylocks has even put them in a position where snuggling back up to the Bear is looking more appeal to them all the time.

How do you know
by FaxMeBeer
These muslims? How many do you know? Are they practicing? Do they believe in the Jihad? Are they American born? If not, then why did they come here?
