How not to write a movie review...

This is how not to write a movie review...

This film has power and passion. The president sucks. The cinematography was excellent. The administration is totally flawed and should be impeached immediately. There were a few scenes that were overlong for my taste, but overall, the pacing was right on. We are stuck in an endless war and the economy is going to hell; it's all Bush's fault. The lead actress was quite good in her role, though her performance during a pivotal scene was a bit lackluster. Now if you want solid performance, vote for so-and-so... He's the man.

In other words, if you are going to review a film, review the film. Don't get bogged down in the politics.

I was thinking the same thing. Dana's reviews seem to all get linked to "terrorism" and 9/11, even though the psychopathic anarchist role of the Joker has existed in the comics long before 9/11 happened. She has all the markers of an obsessive, she sees 9/11 everywhere and in everything.

The sad part is that Dana probably thinks she's trying to make a difference in the world by comparing practically every single movie she reviews with the Bush administration.

If someone were reviewing "Wag the Dog" they should stick with the content of the film itself. A short mention of the assortment of life-imitates-art paraphernalia is of course necessary and only natural, but don't make the entire review about what happens off-screen. Dana, wake up babe!!!
