Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. When it comes to Hagel I haven't looked in to him enough to give an answer.

To be fair to Obama, I suspect that although he won't help close the racial divide in any immediate term, the long term trend will be for his presidency to help close it. Whole generations will grow up in a world where a black president is an historical fact, and that'll change how people think about it. It should help to curb white racism, of course (assuming Obama's a decent president), but should also should help curb black racism (if "the Man" is black, it changes a lot of racial thinking on that side of the divide, too).

Arkady, how can he be considered BLACK when half of him is WHITE? Geez guys, the man is a man regardless of his skin color. He may appear to be BLACK to you and those BLACKS that want him so much in the seat of power, but to me he is not even CHOCOLATE. If you want to elect a black man to sooth the trodden down blacks then elect a true black man, not one that is HALF and HALF!

Next, if there are any left by next term, we will search for a real woman to sit herself in the sit of power, that is if HE WHO COMES THAT HAS THE RIGHT HAS NOT ALREADY COME.

Seasoldier/Black men bleed the same color and have the same graving as white men--live with it. I doubt this country will survive another four years.

I might consider Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) - - tho I battle with him because he thinks the illegals should get amnesty. Other than that, he does pretty well for us. And then there is our little ole' Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI). He really, really listens to his constituents and mostly gets things done for the majority of our people. (He's cute, too.)
